Our weekend.

We had a pretty good weekend.
Friday night we had some friends over and we had such a good time. One of my best friends Shannon and her husband Chris and then our other friends Codie and her husband Albert came. Since it was so icy and snowy outside we stayed in and played games. I made dinner, Codie brought yummie desert and we hung in and played jeopardy on the PlayStation and also a game called boxers or briefs. The jeopardy was fun but that boxers or briefs game was really fun. We all had a really good time. I think even Cooper enjoyed watching us all laughing and playing.
Saturday we slept in and spent some time together. Then Julian's good friend from high school and his wife came over. We haven't seen them in a while so it was nice having them over. They stayed all day with us and played with Cooper and caught up with us. Saturday night we went with a group of friends to dinner at Charleston's and that was fun too. Except Cooper doesn't seem to like that place. I think its because its so dark in there and it makes him tired even when he's not and that just pisses him off. :)
But we had fun and Cooper finally fell asleep in Shannon's arms and we got to enjoy the rest of our dinner. We went back to my friend Shannon and Chris's house and the boys (5 of them) played the wii and 5 of us girls played a board game called imagine if, Dana's husband Andy got sick of playing Wii with the boys and joined in on our game. I think the other guys were jealous and wished they got to play the board game too (ha ha) Probably not but I would have been If I were them. :)
It was such a fun, stay in kind of weekend. I may sound dorky but I just love to play games with friends and family. Everyone seems to have fun and its free. How can you not love that.
Sunday we got up and had breakfast and the three of us just stayed in and watched a little tv. We went to Church, did some arrends and now we are about to settle in for a little Desperate housewives and Brothers and Sisters. We missed them last week so we have some catching up to do.

I have a few pictures of Cooper from this weekend. Him bundled up and ready to head out to dinner Saturday night. Then one of him playing in his exersaucer. He is so funny. He is really starting to learn good coordination. He is now reaching for objects he sees and realizes he wants them. He reaches, grasps and manages to pick them up with both hands. Usually he's aiming to bring them to his mouth but I'm just proud that he is reaching and picking things up so well. he plays so good with things too. Anything with buttons to push, or things to pull he is all about it as long as you show him how.
Our little boy is growing up so fast. It amazes my husband and I how much we love and adore him. Last night we lay in bed after we put him in his bed and we started talking about how amazing it is to love somebody so much. We both agree that our love for each other is a completely different kind of love and it should never be compared. We talked about our love for our son. It just truly baffles us both how much we love him. Its such a bursting unimaginable love. We feel so blessed to have him and can't wait to add brothers and sisters to the mix. But for now we will focus on him. He deserves all of our attention and love and we have absolutely no problem giving him just that!
