I can't tell you all how much I miss blogging. Its been one thing after another the last few weeks and I truly haven't hardly even been on long enough to check and see what people have posted. I tried to start catching up a few days ago and had no luck. I got bombarded at work with...Well you know work! That thing your supposed to do when your at work :)
I most definitely will be trying my hardest to keep up with all of my blog friends over the next week or so. I just have to let things settle down.
Next week we are leaving for a 7 day vacation to visit some family. I'm really excited but every night we are so busy that I actually had to make a list of things I don't want us to forget. Also things that we still need to go get. I'll be glad when our bags are packed my list is marked off and we are on our way to see everyone.
I just wanted to say hi to everyone and let you know that I'm still here and well. I will be checking in and seeing how all of you are in the next few days. I'll be doing some serious back track reading.

Wedding, Family, Pictures and more.
Here is a picture of Cooper in his boots and hat. I had to try them on him the day we got them in last week and I couldn't help myself but to take a few pics. I love it!Well we made it through one of our busiest weeks we've had this summer so far. It went great and pretty smoothly.
All week long I've been trying to finish painting the letters for Coopers 1st b-day pics. Yes I know its still two months away but we took pictures this weekend for his 1st birthday pics so that we can use them on his invitations. So we took them early. Anyways, I needed all the letters fixed and done so we could use them for the pictures. I did end up finishing them and they looked great :)
We had a rehearsal dinner Thursday night for my husband's good Friend Keith and his fiance Taletha. They got married on Friday and my hubs was in the wedding. It was a beautiful wedding. We are so happy for our friends.
Here are a few pictures of the rehearsal dinner and the wedding.

Cooper loved playing with his friend Leah.
Saturday we drove two hours to Norman to visit my family. The guys played golf and the girls went shopping and out to lunch. We had a great day but we were so tired from our busy week that we ended up putting on a movie during the kids nap time and resting.
Saturday night my entire family went over to my cousin Carolines new house for dinner. Caroline is the cousin that does photography and she is who has taken all of Cooper's professional pics. Caroline has two sisters, Courtney and Ashleigh. These three girls and I were so close growing up. They were the only girl cousins I had living close to me and we have always been really close. We had a great time Saturday night spending time together and letting our kids play.

Sunday morning REALLY early in the morning we met up with Caroline to take pictures for Cooper's first birthday invitations. I think they will be really good. We went for more bright colorful type shots this time. Cooper had his cowboy hat and cowboy boots on. It was adorable. We took a few family pictures while we were our there as well. Hopefully they will all turn out great.
We spent a little time at the pool to finish off our busy weekend.

We came home late Sunday night and we are still trying to catch up on our sleep.
I hope all of you had a good weekend as well :)
Now its time for me to play a little catch up.

Walking and teething with a little attitude sprinkled on top.
This week has been a wirl wind of crazy! Crazy in a good way I would say.
Cooper started walking late last week as most of you read on my last post. He is still practicing his new walking but at the same time he still enjoys to crawl. There is no forcing him to walk. We have tried to get him to do it multiple times for people when they come over and he refuses. Then randomly as he's playing he'll just walk across the room. I should have knows my little independent man would only do it when he wanted to. :)
Monday Coopers very first tooth popped through his gums. Bottom right! We are so happy for him because he seemed unfazed by the whole thing. Number two tooth might be a different story but this first one came in smoothly and without fever, diarrhea and not much crankiness at all.
As far as the attitude I mentioned in the title of this post. Well you might remember me talking about his very persistent, determined, independent nature. He is always wanting to do things and its not that he won't let us help him. He just won't do it unless he wants to do it. There is no changing his mind once he zero's in on something he wants or wants to do.
Trying to get him to walk for a family member or friend is so NOT happening. He refuses to do it. He only walks when he wants to. If we try to coerce him into walking he will scream and wiggle until he's on the floor crawling away. So we don't try to make him walk. We just let him do it on his own.
He is getting into everything and he smiles at us coyly when we tell him no. He understands what no means. No doubt about it. He seems to think its funny to see us come running over to redirect him and tell him "no".
I love my little Coopster you all know I do more than anything in this entire world. But boy does he have a temper and when he does smile at me when he's in trouble I don't know whether to laugh or fume! Usually I do a little of both. Trying to figure out a better way to help him to understand that he can't have what he wants, Or he can't do what he's doing.
I call him the "Coopy Monster" sometimes. It fits his little crazy personality. I love his independence and drive even though sometimes he is a little defiant and it makes mommy a little mad. But he also has a super sweet cuddly loving side as well. He smiles such a sweet little smile and he's always so happy. He's really good tempered most of the time, he loves going out in public and people watching.
I am very much like Cooper in the attitude department. I have a happy nice side but I can be very opinionated and strong willed. Its sort of a downfall I see in myself sometimes. I feel like any time I'm having a conversation about something I disagree about. I have to watch what and say and make sure I don't say things in a bitchy way and not even really realize it. (This does happen sometimes). I've really worked hard the past 5 years or so to make myself a better person and be less moody. Having cysts and hormonal problems have certainly not helped with this goal but I do believe I'm much better than I used to be.

Anyways. My point is, I get Cooper. He is a perfect mixture of my personality and my husbands. He dances and moves like his mama. He has a stubborn sense and attitude like his mama, He has a calm easy going laid back attitude sometimes like his daddy. He's never high strung or hyperactive. Just busy.
We love him and all his fun pieces of his personality. Its amazing to watch him grow and become who is.
No pictures today. Sorry! But I might post tonight or tomorrow night some. I took a ton the past few days but don't have my camera with me (I'm at work.. shhh).
We are going to a wedding tomorrow night. My husband is a groomsman for a very longtime good friend of his. Pictures to come.
Have a great day :)

10 months and walking

Today our sweet baby boy is 10 months old. It amazes me to think that in just two short months he will be a whole year old already. Before we know it we won't be celebrating his monthly birthday and he will graduate to years.
Happy 10 months baby boy :)
Now to list the things you are doing these days.. I mean what are you not doing? Your all over the place. Your so active and you learn new things every single day.
You started walking just two days ago. I mean truly walking. You went from taking a few shaky little steps from furniture to furniture to taking 6-8 steady steps across a room. We are amazed by your ability to learn so fast. We video taped you walking the first day you started to "truly walk" but it won't load up to blogger??? I've tried like 5 times now and it keeps giving me an error. Grrrrrr!
Here are a few pics of him moving. But they don't do your little cutie walk any justice.
In this first picture you had walked from me all the way across our friends kitchen and you just stopped and stood there completely steady.

You are saying Dada, Mama, Hey (in a really high pitch voice) and we think your trying to say dog. Every time you see a dog you say "goh goh, goh" instead of do----g.
You are learning to take a feeding of your formula from your sippy cup but that just isn't gonna fly with you. You are very pissy when it comes to not having your bottle to drink out of that feeding. Even though you do have baby food in front of you. You want your bottle, BAD!
Its a learning experience we know. I just hope by the time your 10 we don't have you drinking out of a bottle :) He-he, Just kidding sweetie ;)
You are wearing size 9-12 months in shirts, you are wearing size 6-9 in pants.
You wear a size 2 shoe and your starting to wear some size 3 shoes.
You love to push toys around the room. You like to squeeze behind things, you like small spaces. You love to climb, Including climbing through the side bars of the piano. Goof ball.
You enjoy our dogs so much, you light up when they come in the house. You are in love with your daddy, your papa and Nana, your grandma and grandpa. You also love Chris (my friend Shannon's husband). You smile from ear to ear anytime you see anyone though. You are such a friendly little man.
Your hair is getting so thick. Its still a strawberry blond/white blond/ super light brown mix.
You have bumps and bruises CONSTANTLY. (Your really freaking mommy out honey). You just have no fears and your so quick that you face plant constantly with no warning and almost always have a bruise on your little head. :(
You love Miss J and the other kids at her house and your doing a really good job playing with all of them.
You enjoy music and I'm pretty sure I saw your awesome dance moves this past month more and more. You stand and put one hand out and bounce your hand and bend your knees and bounce. HILARIOUS! I love the hand out. Too funny.
You want to look at everything and anything. You are so inquisitive.
You think that any food that is on mommy and daddy's plate is yours. Even though you don't have any teeth you still think its for you.
We do feed you some of our food though. You've tried quite a few things.
Your favorite thing to snack on right now are snow cones. You also love your yo baby yogurt and your graduate puffs. You love those puffs.
You are starting to learn to throw a little fit when you don't get what you want. But that's ok. We just redirect you, tell you calmly that "Cooper this is ridiculous. You can't play with that, its dangerous". Or something along those lines. Boy does that make you mad.
We love you more than the moon loves the stars and the sun loves the earth. You are our everything and we couldn't be more proud of you.
Happy 10 months munchkin.
Here are a few pics of you the past few days. And a few with you and mommy :)

This was a crazy scary looking storm that rolled in tonight. It totally freaked me out. The clouds truly looked like they were spinning. However we just had a really bad thunderstorm. No tornado's! Thank God!

Weekend on my own.
OK... Sort of a weekend on my own. My husband has a good friend who is getting married in 2 weeks. I'm really excited about the wedding. I think it will be really fun :)This past weekend my husband and about 30 other guys they are friends with left on a big 4 day Dallas weekend. They wanted to get away and go somewhere outside of town but didn't want to fly or go anywhere too expensive (since most of us are young with families and want to save their money for family vaca's). So they chose Dallas because its close. They left Thursday and came back Sunday. Somehow my husband managed to spend an awful lot of money on golf, dinners, hotels, taxi's (I made him promise not to drink and drive :) And yes in they did go to a strip club. I knew they would, I just asked that my hubs be respectful to me. I trust him so it wasn't really an issue but I had to make sure he knows my feelings about what's OK and what's not OK. This isn't his first bachelor party so I've become very aware of what they do. It sounds a lot like the movie The Hangover to me. YIKES!
Cooper and I were on our own this weekend. PARTY! j/k.
Thursday night we just spent some time together at home...

We actually left for my parents Friday as soon as I got off work.
I took these Friday before we hit the road. My mom bought him this cutie pie little comfy tree hugger outfit. :)I like my alone time sometimes but a full weekend on my own with the Coopster isn't really my cup of tea. Sure I can handle it just fine but I prefer people and talking and busy weekends. So we stayed with my parents and spent time with them and with my brothers and sis in law and niece. We had a great time. my niece sang "Glamorous" by Fergie to me this weekend. Hah! She is hilarious. Her favorite song right now is "Bullet Proof" But since she's only 2 she says " this time baby I beeeee Huulllettttt pooooofff" Its seriously so funny. She gets so into the songs and when she was singing Glamorous she was doing so good when she spelled it. GO NAT!!!! She would shake her little hips and throw her arms up in the air and get so into it. Cracked me up.
My dad with his grand babies. He just loves them to pieces.

We had a fun weekend. My sis in law and mom and I went to hobby lobby to start on all my 1st birthday projects for Cooper's big 1! I have so many ideas and I know I have 2 full months until his b-day, but we have a vacation, birthdays and all sorts of things going on between now and then so we got started this weekend.
We are doing a Cowboy theme. Its going to be SOOOO CUTE! I decided this after long deliberation about 1 month ago. With the help of my mom of course. Maybe because I really wanted a reason to buy Coop some adorable little cowboy boots? Either way the outfit is in progress, the hat, the jeans, the boots. The whole deal. I have a cake picked out. I bought letters (his name and the number 1) and my sis in law and I painted them this weekend. They look so cute. I am cutting out Boots and Cowboy hats to hang his pictures on over the cake table and the fireplace. I'm so excited about this. I have so many fun and artsy projects started for the party. I can't wait to pull it together.
Here are some pics of the painting and some of the decor we bought on sale at Hobby lobby, that way we don't have to make everything.
Nat helped us too :)

Cooper has been taking more and more steps lately on his own. He took 2-3 good steps by himself Sunday. Today he took 5 steps on his own and then 4 another time. He's getting really close to really walking. He's been playing with this walking toy he has so maybe its helping him to be more daring. Its so cute when he tries to walk though. He puts his hands out like lurch. He goes fast and grabs onto whatever he is headed for. Adorable.

We had a good weekend. It was way to fast, tiring and now its over! BOOO! But either way its always nice to see mom and dad. and the rest of the fam. But we sure did miss Julian. I'm glad we are back together at home now :)

Cooper's first 4th of July

It seems like the holidays are all flying by and before we know it Cooper will have celebrated each and every one of them at least once. Its bittersweet but we are making sure that he is enjoying each one to the fullest. Even though he won't remember them:)
Before I get into our weekend. I want to thank all of you that took the time to send me a nice and encouraging message on my last post. It meant so much to me. Even if you didn't have advice or anything to tell about the procedure, you still wished me well. Thanks girls.
And thanks to anyone who did or does have any info that might help me out on this one.
Ok onto our weekend.
Friday we took Cooper for his 9 month checkup. He is in the 90th percentile for his height. Dang son! He's in the 15th percentile for his weight :( (no worries though, doc says he's perfect and healthy as can be just a little on the super tall side). His head was 25th percentile. Doc said he's perfectly healthy and wonderful. Yay Coops!
We are going to start weening him off his bottles. The problem is, he only takes formula with cereal in it due to reflux. How are we supposed to teach him to drink formula from a sippy cup if it has cereal in it?
Friday night we went to dinner with some friends of ours and then out for ice cream. We had a great time.
I took a few pics of Cooper before we left because he looked so cute. I just wanted to share.
He got all nice and ready.

He put on his snazy outfit :) His new shoes that I call his Hampton shoes. Yes, MWAH! (That was supposed to sound like a ritzy guy from who drinks his champagne with his pinky in the air).

He played for a while before we left to get himself all pumped and ready to go out and mingle.....

Saturday, My mom and dad came in town and mom, dad, Coop and I went shopping. We had a great time and it was a nice time for my mom and dad to spend with Coop and I. That afternoon we spent time at my grandma's with some of my family that is in town. My cousin Alex is home from the army this weekend. It was so nice to see him. We grew up together and now he's so far away. We keep in touch but I worry as I know all of you do about your loved ones away in the army. My prayers go out to them and their safety.
Here is a picture of some of my family and Alex.

My niece Natalie and I love our Cheetos :)
One of Cooper's new sets of big boy shoes...Loving them :)

Uncle Matt played for a long time with the kids...

After grandma's Saturday afternoon, we went over to my husbands best friends house for some fun and fireworks. We had a great time.
Sunday the 4th we went to church then to Grandma's for dinner and then to go watch firecrackers. Cooper was decked out in his U.S.A gear.

Cooper had a long weekend. He was so tired after our fireworks on Sunday night. But I had to take a quick pic of him in his new cutie shorts one piece pj's I got him at the Gap on sale this weekend :)
Monday my brother and his wife and daughter went to lunch with us. We spent some time with them and my parents and then started on a few more backyard projects. Some of you may remember me mentioning working on my back yard. I don't want to share it with you until its done but we are getting closer and closer to finishing it. Its so time consuming and expensive but soon our extreme home backyard project will be done. I can't wait!I hope you all had a wonderful 4th.
