Wedding, Family, Pictures and more.

Here is a picture of Cooper in his boots and hat. I had to try them on him the day we got them in last week and I couldn't help myself but to take a few pics. I love it!

Well we made it through one of our busiest weeks we've had this summer so far. It went great and pretty smoothly.
All week long I've been trying to finish painting the letters for Coopers 1st b-day pics. Yes I know its still two months away but we took pictures this weekend for his 1st birthday pics so that we can use them on his invitations. So we took them early. Anyways, I needed all the letters fixed and done so we could use them for the pictures. I did end up finishing them and they looked great :)
We had a rehearsal dinner Thursday night for my husband's good Friend Keith and his fiance Taletha. They got married on Friday and my hubs was in the wedding. It was a beautiful wedding. We are so happy for our friends.
Here are a few pictures of the rehearsal dinner and the wedding.

Cooper loved playing with his friend Leah.

Saturday we drove two hours to Norman to visit my family. The guys played golf and the girls went shopping and out to lunch. We had a great day but we were so tired from our busy week that we ended up putting on a movie during the kids nap time and resting.
Saturday night my entire family went over to my cousin Carolines new house for dinner. Caroline is the cousin that does photography and she is who has taken all of Cooper's professional pics. Caroline has two sisters, Courtney and Ashleigh. These three girls and I were so close growing up. They were the only girl cousins I had living close to me and we have always been really close. We had a great time Saturday night spending time together and letting our kids play.

Sunday morning REALLY early in the morning we met up with Caroline to take pictures for Cooper's first birthday invitations. I think they will be really good. We went for more bright colorful type shots this time. Cooper had his cowboy hat and cowboy boots on. It was adorable. We took a few family pictures while we were our there as well. Hopefully they will all turn out great.

We spent a little time at the pool to finish off our busy weekend.

We came home late Sunday night and we are still trying to catch up on our sleep.

I hope all of you had a good weekend as well :)

Now its time for me to play a little catch up.

Hey Melissa! I'm going to do a "bottle-weaning" post since I've gotten a few responses regarding it so be sure to check it out.

My advice for Coop is to just take your time! I started mixing milk with their formula when they were like 11 1/2 months. I did it in their bottle b/c they HATED the sippy. I did 6oz formula, 2oz milk. Honestly, they would only drink like 1/2 a sippy a day at their first birthday!! We were mostly on bottles!

After their 1st birthday, I began giving them sippy cups 1/2 full with only milk, and was using bottles of 1/2 milk & 1/2 formula. I increased the milk daily until they were drinking an entire bottle of milk.

After we got back from vacation (before their 13month bday), I swore that I'd get them off the bottle and all I did was just take it away. There was no fussing for it - I don't even think they miss it.

I'll do a post on it, but my advice is to definitely take it slow & not rush things!! Good luck - I'm always here - just shoot me an email :-)

xo, Jenn
