I wanted to send out a big thanks to all of you wonderful ladies who lent me such good wise advise and support in my husband and I making a decision on the childcare issue's we are having. You are all so sweet and your prayers are so greatly appreciated.
I wanted to send each and every one of you a message telling you thank you but my past few days have been crazy and I'm just now getting to sit down and at least type this up.
I know Julian and I will make a good choice for Cooper. We have two really good places lined out right now. Both expensive but both worth it. One is a church nearby that I've heard great things about. And another is a learning center I used to work at. They are both really good places and my husband and I have been going over our budget and have figured a way to send him to one or the other. They are the two places that make us feel most comfortable. They are however both full time until he's a year old. But once he's a year old we can go into part time and only take him 2-3 days a week. The other days he can be with some family again.
I'm praying so much about this decision, that God will point us in the safe and good direction that our son belongs. I know he will help us along the way.
I do truly appreciate all of you girls for your support and prayers also.
I call you all my friends. I feel like I know each and every one of you girls. Thanks for talking to me like we are friends and offering up your wonderful advice.
Now I am going to go make a special 5 month b-day post for my Coopy man. Today he's 5 months old. OH MY GOODNESS! I can't believe how fast they grow.

advice please????
I need some advice. My son stays with family. He usually goes to Nana's house for 3 days a week and Aunt Tami's for 2 days a week. Well if you read my blog yesterday Nana's house is no longer a place for him to go. Papa had to have emergency surgery last week and will be recovering for months to come. Aunt Tami can't watch him every day of the week so we are sort of stuck without someone to keep him. I have tons of friends but they all work. Most of them have parents that watch there kids for them. So I have no idea what to do.
Back when I was in college I worked at a learning center near my house. Its a really really nice one. Clean and nice and the teachers love the kids. They really do. I still know some of the teachers and directors. So its not all strangers there.
Anyways, I thought about sending him to this daycare but its super expensive. I don't really trust any of the other daycare's that are nearby. So I don't know what else to do?
I did call and they said they could get him in. I'm so sad though. I wish I were able to stay home with him. But if we ever want to try for another baby we have to pay off the bills from the first. I have to work. My husband can't handle it all by himself. Without getting to far into my personal money issues. I basically have to work. You can say what you want if your a stay at home mom, I think that's great but until you are in someone else's shoes you can't understand that its not an option for some of us. I would love to be home with my baby. He is my everything.
But I also know he will be just fine at a learning center or daycare as long as we make a good choice on where to send him. I also think the social interaction would be good. But at the same time I really wanted to wait until he is 1 year old before taking him somewhere outside of family. I'm so freakishly overprotective of him.
So I was just wondering if any of you take your kids to a daycare and if so did you when they were 5-6 months old? How do you like it? How does your child like it?
Be honest. Thanks ladies.

Change in plans.
Well we were supposed to go out of town this weekend for my brothers birthday. However things changed drastically when we found out Julian's dad was going to have to have a very serious surgery Friday afternoon. His father has a history of heart problems and last week found out he had a fully blocked blood clot in his leg. His foot had gone completely numb causing him to be in severe pain.
He was put into the hospital and they tried to remove the clot but did not have any luck. They planned to call in a specialist to try to remove the clot on Friday but while waiting for the specialist and for the surgery he developed a hemotoma in his other leg. Things got very serious and we ended up rushing to the hospital to be with his family on Friday. My best friend and her husband kept Cooper. Thank God we had them to help us out.
We spent the entire day and night at the hospital. The surgeon came and spoke to the family and told them that he would try his hardest to remove the clot and drain the hematoma as best he could without having to amputate. They were afraid his foot had gone too long without circulation. The surgery didn't happen until 9:30 Friday night and was over at 2:30. Thank the lord everything went as best as could be expected. There were tons of prayers being sent out for him and I know that's what helped.
We stayed at the hospital until 3:15 and once we got to see him in recovery we decided to go home to get some rest. The past two days have been spent back and forth from the hospital. On top of it all, I am sick. Yesterday I started to really get a bad cold, On top of not sleeping I wasn't feeling very good at all. Today I stayed in bed until 5:00. But my sweet husband went and picked up dinner to go and rented a movie. We postponed our Valentines day celebration for next week sometime.
This weekend definitely didn't go as planned but I thank God that everything turned out OK. His dad has a long road ahead of him for recovery and they haven't even started to try to figure out what caused all of this. But with prayers and support, we will get him back to being healthy. He will be in the CICU for atleast another 3 days or so before they move him from that area of the hospital. The dr. did say he would have to have a nurse come to the house every other day to care for the hematoma. They were unable to close it up. Hopefully he won't be in the pain he was in before they removed the clot though. We are so thankful the surgery went well.

annual visit to my O.B. and here is what he has to say..
Well today we went in for my annual with my favorite doc Nil. We took Cooper because he hasn't gotten to see him since the day he delivered him. Cooper of course was all smiles and flirty with all the nurses and even gave a huge grin to doc Nil as well. He loved him. As well he should considering that he is probably the first face that Coop saw when he came into the world. And considering the fact that I basically lived at the obgyn's office my entire pregnancy. Going in way more than normal. Sometimes twice a week. Anyways everyone loved Cooper and he made quite an impression. Dr. Nil even said "what a ham" as Cooper smiled up at him dimples showing and eyes adoring. I wish I had a picture of it. So cute.
Julian (my husband) went with us so that we could talk to Dr. Nilson about the issues it might cause if we were to wait another year before trying for number 2. I have told you ladies before before that I would love to have another baby right now. Pregnancy, childbirth, having my angel baby here with me has been such a gift from God. I can't help but want to do it again. I can't help but to want Cooper to have siblings that are close in age to him like I did growing up. However I don't mind giving Cooper a few years with just us before rushing into more children either. Anyways, I asked my Dr. If me being 27-1/2 would be a problem for us to wait to try again in about a year. Since I have PCOS. I just know that age doesn't help with any issues that are pre-standing. Luckily for us he told us that he didn't see any reason why we couldn't wait a year. That although yes time is against us. He doesn't feel like waiting a year will make or break my ability to get pregnant. PCOS is going to make it hard weather I'm 28 or 29 years old.
We are in the process of paying off our first IVF loan and will definitely start trying as soon as its all paid off and we are able to focus on getting pregnant again. Right now we will just enjoy our little miracle Cooper. He is by far the most amazing gift. I am grateful to God every day for the beautiful family he surrounds me with. I am truly blessed.
On another note. I have a very very good friend. She has been in many of the pictures on my blog off and on. We hang out with her and her hubby every single weekend. Her name is Shannon. She is suffering with being diagnosed with being Pre-menopausal and having a light case of endometriosis. She also doesn't have regular sized ovaries and when being stimulated by fertility drugs is limited on how many eggs she can make. Her husband was diagnosed with a low sperm mobility. I hope I'm getting all of this right. Anyways. They are going through a difficult time right now and are turning to prayer and to God to help them through this journey to having children in their future. Shannon just started a blog to help get prayers and support as they start this journey. They are scheduled to do there first IVF in May. Please go by her new blog and feel free to follow her or offer her up encouraging words as they begin this stressful journey. http://ivffirsttime.blogspot.com/2010/02/in-october.html
Please lift her and her husband up in your prayers.
Thanks for listening ladies.
Julian, Cooper and I are going to visit my family this weekend. Its my little brothers 25Th birthday. I can't hardly believe my baby brother is 25. I will share pics on Sunday or Monday when we get home. I'm excited to see my family. Its been 3 weeks and Cooper is getting more and more hair every day now. I bet my mom will be surprised at how much he's gotten since she saw him last.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

A toy arrived for Cooper in the mail today! Oh and I learned how to post videos, YAY!
Today we recieved a toy in the mail. Cooper isn't quite old enough to get all excited about his toys right now. But I am. We recieved this toy as a givaway on a blog. From a sweetie pie mama named Sarah over at My life as MaMa. http://babygardella.blogspot.com/ Sarah is the mommy of an adorable little boy named Caleb. Thanks so much Sarah :) We tried our new toy out tonight in the bathtub. I know Cooper isn't quite old enough yet to play with his bath toys but we sort of play with him and show him how to play with his toys. He had so much fun, My husband and I were cracking up. Julian said "I have to video tape this, he loves it". So we did. I hope it works and your able to watch it. I'm testing this post to see how my video turns out. Its a good quality video on our computer but when I go to post it, it looks all blurry. Hopefully it works this time because its such a cute video of Cooper in his bath laughing and playing with his new toy. I just love him soooo much!
Oh and please ignore my horribly dark roots. I guess its time for me to go get my hair foiled again.

Saturday night
Saturday night we went out to dinner with my oldest friend Lisa and her husband Brandon and their little girl Anniston. Anniston is 1-1/2. She is so cute and funny.
I wanted to share some pictures of our night. We went to dinner, then went back to Lisa and Brandon's to play some Wii. We had fun. I have posted some of the action shots of us playing. Some of me and Brandon, some of me and Lisa and one of Julian. We had so much fun. Brandon made his famous no bake cookies. YUM! That's what the nasty picture is. But I promise you they were delicious.
Cooper was staring at Anniston all night. He would just smile at her and watch everything that she did. He loved her. I think he has a crush! He was obsessively staring all night. Anniston was really sweet to him. She kept waving at him and smiling and showing him her toys. She will be a great big sister one day.
I also posted some pictures of Cooper playing this week in his exersaucer.
Also check out my last post. I got an award :)
