6 weeks and back to work

Today our sweet baby boy is 6 weeks old. I can't believe its been six weeks already since that beautiful day he came into our lives.
I wanted to share some of his bright eyed, 6 weeks pics I took of him today with us. He's getting so big.

Also today was my first day back to work. I did cry 3 times, Once this morning when I had to tell Coop goodbye, then again right after he left with his daddy to go to Nana's. Then once more when I got to work. My co-worker asked me how I felt leaving him and I burst into tears. But after that I had a good day. He did great at Nana's and we both made it through the day. Everyone at work was really nice. They were all so happy and sweet to me telling me how glad they were that I was back. That made me feel good and I was happy to see them all. I did miss my sweet boy all day though.

I hope you all had a nice Wednesday.

Oh how I remember those first days back after being home with baby...just the hardest thing ever!

I now stay home and while I regret not having done it sooner, it just wasn't a reality with the cost of IVF. I'm just grateful now for the days I do have with my 2 little ones.

Each day does get easier, but there will be tough ones ahead and after a week or two you will be wiped!

He's such a cutie, and you look great!!!

Take care,
Val

You look beautiful! Little Coop is super cute -- the next weeks will fly by! Take lots of pictures and videos (although I'm sure you are!) Good luck back at work, it'll get easier, I swear!!

Wow, time flies! You did much better than I would! It probably helps that he's with family and not strangers.

How hard it is to go back to work, I am glad you had a good day after the rough patch in the morning! He is just at his Grandmas?

Sounds like you reacted as any new mom who has to go back to work...don't worry, it's normal to cry. I am glad the day went well and everyone survived. Each day will get easier and easier. It is nice that you have Nana to take care of him...I don't get that luxury living where the military sends me. Cute photos of you and Cooper!

OHMYGOODNESS he has gotten big!! I remember my first day back people came to ask how hard it was to leave the girls-all mothers! Didn't they remember??? It will get easier, especially when the fussies attack!! What's more important-how many times did you hear that it didn't look like you just had a baby!! You look amazing!!

I had a hard time leaving my first after she was born. When she was a year old I was able to quit and stay home, but now after being home with both of my girls for 2 years, I get lonely when they are gone for more than an hour!
Your doing great! Keep getting your rest =-)

Such a cutie, growing up so fast! Glad you had a good first day back. Still so glad he's just with Nana, makes it much easier than with someone you do not know very well. :) At least you'll just work a 1/2 week to start off :) That's a plus! Happy 6 weeks little Cooper!

I can't believe it's six weeks already. That's so wonderful that he could stay with his Nana. It probably helped a bit. Love the pictures!!!

Your baby is just the cutest thing and I can completely understand why you cried having to go back to work. You look fabulous too BTW...hardly looks like you just had a kid 6 weeks ago!

My Mom went back to work 6 wks after having me and she was the best working Mom I've ever met, so you go girl! That's so nice that Nana is around to help you out! Don't worry about crying, people will just chalk it up to being a hormonal new momma. Cooper looks so cute!
