Saturday night

Saturday night we went out to dinner with my oldest friend Lisa and her husband Brandon and their little girl Anniston. Anniston is 1-1/2. She is so cute and funny.
I wanted to share some pictures of our night. We went to dinner, then went back to Lisa and Brandon's to play some Wii. We had fun. I have posted some of the action shots of us playing. Some of me and Brandon, some of me and Lisa and one of Julian. We had so much fun. Brandon made his famous no bake cookies. YUM! That's what the nasty picture is. But I promise you they were delicious.
Cooper was staring at Anniston all night. He would just smile at her and watch everything that she did. He loved her. I think he has a crush! He was obsessively staring all night. Anniston was really sweet to him. She kept waving at him and smiling and showing him her toys. She will be a great big sister one day.

I also posted some pictures of Cooper playing this week in his exersaucer.

Also check out my last post. I got an award :)

Wow thats allot of pictures. Sorry!

Beautiful blogger award.

Today I received the beautiful blogger award from super sweet Michelle at http://mmproper.blogspot.com
Thanks so much Michelle.

Here are the rules for the award:

~Thank the person who nominated you and link to their blog.

~Copy the award and paste it to your blog.

~Tell us 7 interesting facts about yourself.

~Nominate 7 bloggers that you love and link to their blog.

I've done some awards recently and so most of you know my favorites. So I will list some "interesting/strange" things about me on this one. You know my quirks. The things that make me, me.

7 Interesting facts about me....

1. I cannot sleep without socks on or without long sleeves on. No matter how hot it is outside. I can't stand for my feet to scratch against the covers. I put lotion on every night and then my socks. The long sleeves... I wear every night because if I don't then sometime in the night I might feel my own breath on my arm and it ends up waking me up. Because I sleep with my arm above my head.
I'm sort of a weird one huh? HAHA.

2. I hate the bottom of the shower. AHHH it totally grosses me out no matter how clean it is. Ewe. I WILL NOT! touch the drain for anything in my shower. I will clean it with a wet rag, while gagging the whole time. I'm not sure why, but I just find it really disgusting. I also will absolutely not take a bath. No way! I can't stand to sit in a tub.

3. Ever since I was a kid, I've always loved noodles covered in cheese. As a matter of a fact, right now as I type this I am eating egg noodles with butter and shredded Parmesan for lunch. Yum!

4. I'm constantly cold. I don't know why but I can be in a room and everyone else is burning up hot and I am wanting to put on a sweater or slippers or something.

5. Sometimes I find myself being really superstitious. When I realize I'm doing this I stop myself. I'm embarrassed to say that when I was pregnant early on with Cooper. After we got home from the ivf. I wouldn't listen to my ipod. Because I hadn't listened to it since my ivf and the blood test was positive. I was so superstitious that if I listened to anything on my ipod it would bring bad luck. I couldn't even bring myself to tell my husband I was so embarrassed. Then I finally just bit the bullet and listened to it like 3 months into my pregnancy. Of course Cooper is born and alive and well. How corny and strange is that!!!
Seriously, I'm some kind of freak.

6. I loose earrings all the dang time! How??? I would like to know. Good thing I buy really cheap earrings. I have bought like 10 pairs of black earrings in the past year. I only have one pair with a match right now. I find a random earring in my purse, or on a counter. But the really weird thing is that I don't take them off!!! I have no idea how one earring is suddenly in my purse or on a counter or gone forever while the other is still in my ear. I'm not rough, I wear earring backs always. Sometimes I even put the clear tight back on just to be safe. Still I manage to loose them.
So irritating!

7. I want another baby right now, Its driving me CRAZY!!! I finally started talking to my husband about it a couple weeks ago.
We both would love another. But unfortunately for us, we have an IVF payment every month for at least another year before its paid off. We have car payments, house payments, credit card bill (still getting this one paid down from when we were 21 and we got married young and put WAY to much on the CC. Now we are dealing with paying it off. Luckily we are almost done.
Anyways, like everyone else. Money is the issue. We can't get another med loan until we pay the first one off. So until then, no trying. But let me just tell you. I want to. Cooper has been loving watching other kids and seeing them. He is so interested. He deserves a sibling. I hope that next year I can give him one. :)

Well those or some interesting facts and quirks about me. Now here are 7 bloggers who I think are Beautiful Bloggers.

in response.

Thanks to all you ladies who offered up advice and stories to my last post.
I truly appreciate all of you letting me know your experiences and things you learned becoming a mamma.
Update on Cooper. I called the sitter at 10:00 to check on him Friday morning. He was of course fine all morning long before we took him to her house. No sign of anything wrong at all. No ear pulling, no nothing. So I held off on calling the doc. I am with you girls. Better be safe than sorry. I promise I was in the process of calling the doctor. When Mimi confirmed that he was totally still being completely normal. So we held off until 12:00. He was still happy as can be, nothing at all bothering him.
So we ended up leaving it alone. Of course I would get all nervous by his strange behavior at night when I can't call the doctor but as soon as I can he is completely fine. Just my luck. But I'm so glad that he seems just fine. He is still acting completely normal today. Last night we went to an engagement party for a couple we have known for a long time. Congrats to them! And Cooper was happy and smiley and his old self all night long. The only strange thing I saw in him was he was a water faucet of slauber! He was knawing on his fist like there was no tomorrow.
So I'm guessing it does have something to do with early teething. However we are still watching him closely and will most definitely call the doc Monday morning if he even begins to show any signs of being in pain.

I will post some more pictures tomorrow.

P.S Have any of you ever loaded videos. We got this new awesome video camera for Christmas and have so many good videos to show but if I try to load them on Blogspots loader, it never loads the video. If I try to use Dropbox, its all blurry and changes the quality, even when I switch it to the higher quality. I don't want to upload the video's onto youtube because too many people can randomly pull them up. Ahhh what to do?

Any suggestion?

Changes in Cooper

I'm not really sure whats going on with our little man. I considered calling the Pedi to make an appointment but every time I start to think I should, he is suddenly completely normal for a day or so.
This brings me to this post. I am wondering if any of you have seen your kids go through some similar changes that our Cooper is going through and why and what you did?
I don't think he's sick, But I would hate to ignore something if he's in pain.

Here is the situation and when we started seeing some strange changes:
About a week ago Cooper was sitting with Daddy playing with a tree toy that has a monkey that swivels. You can grab the joy stick and make the monkey turn and move his arms. The toy sings and has some buttons you can push on the top of the tree. So Cooper and daddy are playing and I am putting clothes away in our room. I hear a blood curdling scream coming from the living room. Not an I'm tired scream, but almost like he was hurt bad. I ran as fast as I could yelling "whats wrong, is he OK". Horrible things of course running through my mind as I'm trying to get out there.
I turn the corner to find Julian trying to get the dogs away (apparently they were really concerned when Cooper screamed like he did). Julian was trying to console Cooper and he was saying to him in a sad voice (with almost a little laugh behind it) "buddy what? Whats wrong did that scare you". Julian proceeds to tell me that they were playing with the monkey making him move like we always do and Cooper stared at it and totally freaked out! He said he had never seen him that scared before. Cooper was trying to claw his way up Julian to get away from the toy.
Poor baby! I felt terrible. I cuddled him and we both got him calmed down. But we were both so surprised at this. Nothing like this had ever happened before. It was so unlike him. He's played with this toy before, Its not a new toy.
Since that day, Cooper has been scared by a toy "age appropriate" 3 more times. Nothing as upsetting as the first time, but still he cried and was clearly scared.
To top it all off he has been waking up scared. He never used to cry when waking up but now he seems to often. We are always so happy and smiley and fun with him. He really never cries unless he's tired, hungry or hurting. So we have never experienced this before.
Last night when I went to pick him up at Mimi's house (AKA Julian's aunt) She told me that he had been fussy throughout the day and just not himself. She said he was really tired and was pulling on his ear when he got ready to take his naps. He does tend to rub his hands on his cheeks and ears when he's really tired. He's always done this. And just in the past month he's really found his hands and is using them MUCH more. So she wasn't sure if him actually grabbing his ear and pulling on it was him "finding" his ear or him just doing the tired thing or if it is bothering him.
So last night I watched him Very closely. Ready to call the doctor this morning if he did act like he was hurting. He didn't though. He was his happy little smiley lovable little self. So I will call Mimi at 10:00 and check on him again and see if he's acting any different.

But have any of you seen your kids do anything like this. I don't know if its a early teething thing, or if its nothing, or if its totally normal at around 5 months?

Any input on the two changes in our little Cooper?

Savings, Spit up, and Starting to get bored!!!

Let me start with Savings and work my way down.
Last night the hubs and I took Cooper to the mall. I used to LOVE to go shopping but motherhood has caused me to be an at home type of person so much more. Don't get me wrong, I still love to shop. I get some sort of rush and happiness out of getting something new. It makes me feel good. But spending time with my husband and son in the evenings and weekends brings me even more happiness. Needless to say, I don't shop to much anymore.
We got to the mall and walked in. I have a few gift cards with $15.00-20.00 on them from Christmas time leftover. We first went to Macy's were I found some really pretty yellow paisley sheets 350 thread count (not the very best but not horrible).
We just threw away 2 sets of our favorite sheets we got for our wedding almost 7 years ago. So we are in need of some more sheets. Anyways, the sign showed them on sale for $29.99. I was soooo excited! I of course bought them. When I went to check out they tried to tell me they weren't supposed to be that price, that someone had changed the sign. They were actually $60.00 sheets, but they gave them to me for the $29.99 because it wasn't my fault someone had changed the price. SCORE!!! I ended up paying $10.00 with my gift card.
I attached a pic of my purple room, yes I said purple. My husband is such a great guy he let me paint our room eggplant with white woodwork. I love it. We have lots of sort of a pale mustard yellow and white in there and it looks great with the purple. We have red and burnt orange sheets too, they look great with the room color as well. Anyways so here are our new sheets! I love them. Don't worry I didn't actually put the sheets on the bed, I just made it look like I did. I still need to wash them, but I wanted to share them with you guys so I did a fake out. But you get the idea. Thats why you can see the fold creases on the pillows, haha.
While at the mall we also got stopped often with people wanting to see our sweet little Cooper. He is quite the crowd stopper and he doesn't have a problem with smiling a beaming smile to each and every person that passes us either. I don't mind people saying "ooh, aah, he's so cute". But I just don't want anyone touching and you know they try.
We also went to the Gap and got Cooper a new onesy. Super cute, brown and orange stripes. It will look great on him. I only had to pay $6.00 because I had a gift card for the Gap also.
Next we stopped by forever 21. I bought myself a new shirt too. It is cream colored with navy thin stripes. I really like it. I only had to pay $7.00 there because of yet another gift card. YAY ME! We did such a good job. I think we left paying only a little over $20.00 total the entire trip. I was very excited and proud of this mall trip.

Moving on to the spit up. My poor little Cooper as some of you may know has acid reflux really bad. We were able to find some meds that work really good for him. But sometimes when the bottle gets really close to being empty the meds don't really work very well anymore. Its a compounded med.
So the past few days Cooper has really been starting to spit up again. Nothing too terrible but definitely more than he should be. Then this morning we had an all out blow out!!! He wasn't sleeping well which should have been my first indication that his reflux was acting up really bad today. He had an all out crazy bad projectile spit up all over himself and his clean cute clothes this morning, Right into his car seat which we had just put him in because we were both leaving to head out to go to work. My poor baby just sat there covered from head to toe in spit up and cereal. It was so sad, but yet I knew he wasn't hurting because he managed to look up at me and smile a huge cutey pie smile through the yucky spit up covered face. I cleaned him up dressed him nice again and off he went to Mimi's. We are getting his meds refilled right now. I hate that he is having such a problem with the reflux when he doesn't get enough meds. But they really work when they are strong enough. I'm just glad it hasn't burned his throat yet from spitting up to much because then he cries out of pain and its so sad. We will get him all fixed up before that happens.

Onto my last subject. Wow this is such a long post. Sorry ladies :)
TV shows! I'm really getting bored with the fact that so many of my favorites are on a hiatus of some sort. Gossip Girl, 90210, Americas next top Model, all the MTV shows. Like the Hills which is no longer on (I'm so sad, I loved to see all the fashion). Or the City on mtv. I don't have enough to watch when I just want to sit back and relax after Cooper falls asleep.
Right now I am watching the bachelor, One Tree Hill, Greys and Private Practice, Desperate housewives, and Brothers and sisters. I know there are so many other good shows out there. I just don't like to start watching later in the season. So if there are any other good shows you know I would like please let me know. Next year I will definitely watch them.

And last but not least, what would one of my posts be without pictures of my sweet and tiny~ Here he is from the past week. After a bath, playing, and wearing his sporty car shirt and Adidas jogging pants courtesy of my friend Elizabeth.
