picture post!

First of all a funny Cooper story.
Yesterday (Monday) after work, I went and picked up my sweet Cooper from Nana's house and we started on our 2 mile drive to our house. Halfway there I got stopped at a light. Cooper doesn't particularly like sitting still in the car. He likes it when its moving. But on this lovely Monday evening the radio station we were listening to Justin Timberlake's song "Rock your body". I noticed Cooper was being really quiet when we stopped. Then suddenly I hear him talking but its almost like he's trying to sing along (I know, I know, He wasn't really singing along but it sounded like it). In the song there is a part where Justin does the beat with his mouth. Cooper totally did it too. It was hilarious! He was all "ugh ugh ugh" along with the beat Justin was making. It was so funny. I just laughed. I seriously think he really likes that song. So later that night he was fussy and I couldn't help myself, I busted out "don't be so quit to, walk away. Come on and dance with me" I sang to him, even doing the mouth sounds and everything and he smiled from ear to ear.
I told my hubby all about it and he was "well I guess it could be worse". Hahahaa.

Attached is the song, in case you don't know it.

Attached are all the pictures I promised to share from this past week.

The pictures from my friend Lisa's birthday dinner at the Japanese steakhouse. Pictures of Cooper at Grandma and Grandpa's house, and the pictures of Cooper we randomly take nearly every day doing all the adorable things he does. We just love every little second of him. He is our little man.
Check out his silly little smile. He's been giving us this new big smile for a few weeks now and I just love it.

Our weekend.

We went to visit my parents this weekend. It was great. Saturday we went to my little cousin Sarah's cheer competition, it was really fun. Then mom and I went shopping while Cooper and the hubs took a nap. Saturday night we all sat down to my dads famous Mexican casserole. It was as usual delicious. We ate, watched a movie together and then I ate a nice full plate of tasty blackberry cobbler. Cooper fell asleep so good (I always worry when we aren't at home and he can't sleep in his crib). Oh and guess what I'm so proud to announce that my son no longer sleeps in a bathtub (no water) when he visits grandma and grandpa. He is now a big boy who will sleep all night long in a pack and play like other kids will!!!! Yay Coopy!
That's right we tried it for the first time this weekend and he did a great job. Slept all night long. I was really happy he did so good.
So this takes us to Sunday morning. I wake up and stumble into the restroom. I look into the mirror and to my surprise I have "hot face" as my husband called it. My face was BRIGHT and I mean fluorescent hot pink red. My cheeks, forehead, and chin were all blotchy and discolored and swollen. I didn't even feel a thing while I slept.
I have no idea what I'm allergic to, I bring my own pillow and we ate dinner fairly early so we decided it must have been the yummy blackberry cobbler that I'm allergic to. I've eaten blackberries before but apparently I should stop now. It took 2 Benadryl's and the rest of the day for it to go away completely. I went to church despite the horrible blotches. Because I knew it was an allergic reaction and not something contagious. I felt stupid though, but I wasn't about to miss church just because I didn't look very pretty. Although it was tempting.
After church Julian and I packed up and had to head home so we could go to my best friends birthday dinner. It was at a restaurant called Shogun. MMMMM its so good. Its a Japanese steakhouse. They grill everything right there in front of you. It was delicious. I just love the vegetables. They are my very favorite, smothered in unhealthy amounts of soy sauce. The birthday dinner was adults only. I was sad, Yes I know this is corny. But I hate leaving Cooper with a sitter on the weekends. I miss him enough during the days at work that on the weekend he goes where we go. But since it was my best friend and she wanted an adult night out we went for her. It was really fun and Cooper had a good time with my bf's parents (they watched him).
I don't drink a whole lot, I enjoy a glass of wine every now and then but I hate beer and shots, never again!!! My drink of choice used to be amaretto sours. I loved them. So sweet and tasty. However through our years of infertility and trying month after month, year after year, then pregnancy I haven't had one in forever. Recently a friend introduced me to a new wine. Its called Fuki. Oh my gosh! Its delicious and reminds me allot of amaretto sour. I got myself a nice glass of Fuki wine last night and all the ladies ended up getting some also. It was quite a hit.
If you like sweet drinks you would love this stuff.
We had so much fun laughing and talking with our friends and the chef. :) He was funny and I kept trying to ask him questions. He came to the U.S to be chef. It was funny hearing what he thought about parenthood and cooking. He was a funny guy. I have pictures of all of us there, I'll post them tomorrow when I get the chance.

When we went and picked up Cooper he was a little fussy. He has been obsessively chewing and sucking and chewing some more on anything he can get his hands on. Poor baby will really get all hectic acting and shove his whole fist in his mouth chomping vigorously. He is definitely in the teething process. Anytime he isn't biting on something he is crying. Poor baby is in pain. I hate that this will last for like another year. Horrible.

Well that's pretty much our entire weekend. I hope you all had a good one.

Still doing some thinking.

I'm still doing some thinking about whether or not I want to make my blog private. I just recently started using Dro pbox to upload my pictures to my page. One of my blog friends Lindsay told me about this. This is a way to secure your pictures so people can't download them to their own computer. I am thinking I might just stay public for a few months and see how this drop box works for me. I don't mind people getting to see my pictures. I just sometimes get random weird comments. Its not that they are mean or creepy, they are just weird and I don't understand them. This is what prompts me to want to go private. It reminds me of all the people I don't know out there looking at my son and gosh knows what?
However when I started this blog, I made so many new friends. So many girls that were going through the same struggles I was, And now I have even more friends through my blog. People who give me mom advice and just make me laugh. I just want to make sure my son is safe through this. That is the top priority in my mind.
So with the help of my mom and husband(the people I look to for answers when I don't know what to do). My husband thinks I need to ignore the weirdo's and he thinks it will be just fine. I understand what he's saying.
my mom said:
I did see your blog last night and to be perfectly honest, my first thought was definitely....oh don't do it!! Only because you have such a great following and you are constantly meeting girls that you tell me have just brought so much to your life in regard to child raising, friendship and more. I think that you will lose a huge following and not only that, but more importantly lose new people that would have come in to your life. I know that having your child's picture plastered about is not something anyone wants, but I would personally go to the protecting of the photos like you suggested you might do before going to the private status....that is just my opinion. I know that whenever I click on a blog that says it is private....I have never even once attempted to go through the process to be admitted...it is just not worth it.
Yes thats right ladies, I copied and pasted what my mom wrote me. I felt like it was true and good advice.
So I might just sit on this decision for a while and in the mean time keep using the secure drop box site. I'm pretty sure that makes my pictures safe? I will let all of you know if I choose to go Private and I will get everyone's email addresses.
I enjoy keeping up with all of you and your families and would really like to keep up the friendships I have started.

So until I decide (which I will take time to make this decision) I am still here. I appreciate all your help with my decision girls and I appreciate all of you non crazy's who follow and keep up with us. Sorry to be all over the place with this. Its just me thinking out loud.

Ok enough of that for now. I will get back to my family while I do some more thinking on this subject.

BLOG CHANGES!

I am seriously considering changing my blog to private. I'm starting to feel like so many random people can just stop by and see my son. I think that's great as long as they aren't crazy people. However, I've become allot more protective since I had Cooper.
Anyways, I would still hope that the girls that I keep in touch with through their blogs and the longtime followers will request to follow my private blog. If you are someone that I follow or who has followed me for a while please do request to follow once its private. I am just trying to keep my personal pictures from being out there for anyone to Google and pull up.
I'll be doing this sometime in the next week probably. So if you would like to follow once I'm no longer public my blog is http://ivfinfertility.blogspot.com/

Has anyone else done this and do you feel like it was a good move?

top ten

Brit over at Dave and Brit plus one decided to do a list.
Tuesday Ten: Things I can't live without
She invited anyone else to make a list of there own so I decided to join in.
Here is my list. In no specific order.

1. Cheetos puffs, I love those dang things. They are soooo good.

2. My girly TV shows such as Gossip Girl, 90210, one tree hill, America's next top model, the Hills, The bachelor. Yes I like girly shows. I love to check out the fashion.

3. Shopping! I love shopping, I love how I feel when I get something new and can't wait to put it on. Or when I buy something for Cooper and can't wait to give it to him or put it on him.

4. My family (Mom, Dad, Brothers, Sister in law, Niece, husband and Son), They are my everything. My life is nothing without every one of them.

5. God. There are no words to greatly explain what God is to me. All I can say is that I love God with every piece of my heart and thank him daily for always being present in my life.

6. Girls nights. Watching a girly movie, talking about girly things. Laughing, remeniscing.

7. Playing games. Any fun group of people playing games. I love the happiness.
Some of my best memories are of my family getting outside in an afternoon after watching a football game with dad and we play bachaball (not sure how that's spelled), Crochet, and other fun outside games. I love it.

8. Taking walks in the summer with my husband and now with our son too. I love coming home from work, throwing on some sweatpants and a t-shirt and some flip flops. getting the dogs on there leashes and putting Cooper in his stroller and heading off into the neighborhood for a beautiful walk with my fam.

9. Listening to music and singing and dancing out loud and as fun as I can. I sing to Cooper constantly and he smiles at me as wide as he can. It makes me feel good and he either thinks I'm really funny, or he actually likes it. Who knows. I bet he thinks I'm funny. I mean I make up songs for everything. Or I sing real songs. Sometimes I will sing about whatever I'm doing. "Taking out the laundry, oh yah we are taking out the laundry, Coopy and Me dooo doooo dooo deee, taking out the laundry woohooo".
10. Anything desert. I never used to be a desert junky until I got pregnant and I thought it would go away after I had him but it hasn't. I will still purposely not finish my dinner so I have space for desert. YUMMY DESERT!

Now its your turn....

Cooper is 4 months old today

The time is passing way to fast. Our little angel son is 4 months today. The hubby and I are loving every single second of our life with Cooper. He is such a happy, joy filled baby boy. He grows right in front of our eyes every single day.

Here are some of the things he's doing these days.....

-Cooper can stand while holding our fingers and he can stand for what seems like forever. He never wants to sit down. He is go, go, go until finally he wears himself out and goes to sleep.
-He is such a playful little boy. Always playing with toys, sticking EVERYTHING in his mouth.
-He is talking up a storm, He especially likes anything that starts with a G. He says Gaaaahggggggeeeegaaagaaueeeyyyyggg g g. Its constant, He loves to just talk away.
-Cooper laughed for the very first time January 10th. 2010. We were at my parents and my older brother Matt was playing with Cooper. He had him propped up on the couch and was in front of him leaning in and getting him with the tickle monster hands. I walked in from shopping with my mom and sis in law and heard this adorable little giggle. It was all low and sort of hah, hah, hahish. I ran into the living room to see my son laughing. OH MY GOSH "MATT HE'S LAUGHING". Matt goes.. "Yah". I was like "HE'S NEVER DONE THAT BEFORE, OH MY GOSH, JULIAN COOP IS LAUGHING". It was awesome.
However he hasn't laughed since despite my constant tries. He seems like he's always on the verge but just can't do it. I tell him, "Coopy, did you think uncle Matt is funny looking :) is that why you laughed at him and not mommy".
-Cooper is now taking 4 ounces sometimes 4-1/2 ounces every 4 hours. We try to give him 5 ounces before bed. Sometimes he takes it sometimes he doesn't. This is a new thing so we will see how it works.
-Cooper is the most cuddly sweet little boy EVER. He will lay his head on my shoulder and love me. Then he's ready to play.
-Cooper LOVES his exersaucer, but only for about 15-20 minutes twice a day, and he prefers for us to be right by him watching him play. His toy has this little frog/lizard guy that lights up when you touch it and it sing "red, yellow, and blue-ueee ooh ooh ooh". Its really funny and it sounds like its from the 70's but boy does Coop love that thing. He just talks as it sings. So cute.
-Cooper loves to have quiet play time with mommy or daddy sometimes twice a day. He likes to lay down on the (clean) rug in his room and we just fold all his clothes and laundry while he lays and smiles and talks to us. He's a big helper.
-Cooper goes to dinner with us and sits patiently on mommies lap while I eat. He is such a good boy.
-The things I expect to start happening soon are... He seems to by trying to learn to sit on his own. (he's still really wobbly but he's working on it). He is SUPER slobbery and has to be biting, not sucking but biting on something all the time.
I'm pretty sure he started the teething process, even if it does take a while for them to come out.
-He LOVES his baby Einstein car toy that lights up and sings and he throws quite the colossal fit if he doesn't get it turned on when he wants it on.
-Cooper has a mind of his own, even at 4 months he knows what he wants and when he wants it and if he doesn't get it at that moment. or if it takes mommy and daddy a little time to figure out what he wants. Boy does he get mad. We are working on how to teach him to control that. We'll have to do that when he can talk to us and understand us though.
-I like to say that he has quite the "spicy" personality, just like his momma, but can be super laid back still just like his daddy.

We love Coop more than I ever imagined I could possibly love someone. He is amazing. I thank God every day for him and pray for his life and health and happiness.

We love you sweet Coopy monster.

Cooper's 4 month appointment and more

Cooper is only 3-1/2 months old but we took him in for his 4 month appointment this past Saturday. Everything looks great. He is one skinny tall little guy though. I started to get worried because she said he's so tall but he's only in the 10th percentile for his weight. The doctor didn't seem concerned though because he gained consistently from his last appointment. I asked if there was anything we could do to help fatten him up and she didn't give us any advice. She said he's eating fine. He already has cereal in every bottle due to his acid reflux. Cooper is doing great on all of his milestones. His neck control is really strong now. She did the lay down pull on his wrists test to see how his head dangled and he held it completely even with his body and just sat there like it wasn't even a test. She said "wow, that's great" out loud. The only thing he hasn't done that most babies do by 4 months is laugh out loud. But that very same day we went to visit my family after his appointment and my older brother was playing with Cooper and we hear this giggling. It was the best sound ever. He laughed for the very first time out loud on January 9th. It was the best. Here are his measurements for 3-1/2 months old. 12 lb 4 oz 25" long head 40.2cm He is 10th percent in weight 50th percent in height 10th percent in head size My husband is tall and skinny so I'm not all that concerned. Especially since the doc said she wasn't. He still has little rolls. I'm so proud of our little monkey. He is doing so well. We love him so very much. I was finally able to upload a few of the videos we have been taking since Christmas when we got this new video camera. I love it so far. For those of you who asked its a Cannon FS20. With the built in 8GB memory and we bought some extra to put in it. I like it so far and it seems easy enough to use. Here is a video with Cooper and some pictures from the past week, Some are just random pictures of Cooper and some are pictures from my moms 50th Birthday party.. I have a ton. So enjoy!
