1 year ago today, SEPTEMBER 16TH 2009, my life changed in the most amazing way... I met you!

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY TO OUR SWEET BABY BOY COOPER!!!!
WE LOVE YOU SWEETIE!

Cooper! There aren't words to express what your daddy and I feel for you.
It amazes us both that your turning one today. That its been a whole year since we met you face to face and we started the best future we could have ever imagined.

One year ago today we went to the hospital knowing that we would meet you for the first time. We knew that our lives would change. It still amazes me that your real. That I'm a mom. It was and has always been a dream of mine to be a mother and you have graced my life and made that dream come true.

This first year you have blown us away with your silly personality. We could not love everything about you more.
I won't be posting your stats on this post or how big you are and what your into. I will make a special post for that after your doctor's appointment later this week. :)

Cooper you are amazing! We love you. Here you are, this past year. I attached my all time favorite pictures of you. Look how you've grown :)

Good weekend until. Oops!!! Huge bump on the head... Also some homemade birthday shirts and hats :)

My boys!
We had a great weekend for the most part. Spent time with some great friends and worked on indoor and outdoor projects that had to get done before next weeks big b-day bash of the year!

This morning we woke up and played around in the house before we went to church. While in church, Cooper started to get a little bit restless and he grabbed his blanky from his diaper bag. I gave him a paci and he cuddled up to his blanket and my chest and started to unwind. Then suddenly he realized he was letting himself fall asleep and he became very fidgety and wanted down. I put him down, figuring he would come back and get in my lap in a second. He took one step tripping on the blanket and went face first into the kneelers that are in each seat at our church. The bottom foot part of the kneeler went directly into my poor baby's forehead. At first I thought he just bumped into it and held him close cuddling him while he did an insane silent cry. Suddenly he was screaming and I pulled him back to see the LARGEST freaking huge purple and blue bump protruding from his forehead. It scared me half to death. I do know that when it bumps out that is good. But still this was HUGE and it was purple, red and blue all over the place. By far the worst bump Cooper has gotten yet.
I grabbed him up and ran out of the church to the parking lot reaching for my phone frantically to call my mom and ask if I should take him to the hospital. To me it was really bad. My husband came running out with all of our stuff. My mom calmed me down and assured me that if it was out and his eyes looked OK and he was acting OK that he was probably fine. We got him some ice in the church kitchen and watched him like a hawk for a little bit. His head looked terrible.
Needless to say, he is fine. He didn't sleep for a while just to be cautious. He just really got himself good this time.
I took a picture and this was about 6-7 hours after the fall. Its gone down tremendously but its still pretty blue and slightly protruding. Poor kid. He is going to have one really good bruise over his eye on his bday. It makes me sad, and I felt terrible for not thinking to lift his blanket before he started to try to walk. Next time I will be paying attention to that.
I realize that it seems small here. Trust me it was by no means small when he hit it. I'm sure you've all seen this sort of thing. It scared me half to death.

Right now though he is all happy and geared up for the Cowboys game tonight. I even texted my dad some pics of him in his little Jersey. I bet my dad is so proud. We are huge Cowboy fans. :)

These are from the beginning of the weekend. Cooper is such a mess, always getting into stuff. He's so funny.

Well, I'm off to get the Coopster in the bath and off to bed. I've been missing again from blogging. I read and never comment. But this week I plan on making up for my lack of comments. I've seen birthday's and all sorts of fun things I need to go back and leave messages for.

Last...
I made Cooper a few shirts to wear on his actual birthday, birthday party, and second b-day party. The second one is just iron on and the first one I made from scratch. Well sort of. Not the tshirt part of course.
I also made the party hat. None of them turned out boutique worthy or perfect but I thought I did a decent job. And for a WAY cheaper price.

Have a great week. :)
Next time I post it will be about my little mr. turning one. I can't hardly believe it!

The very lovely Mrs. Liz over at Tickled Pink http://babyabigailgrace.blogspot.com

tagged me for a fun little game of Tag. Thanks Liz!

I answer a few questions, then pass new questions along to a few friends of mine. :)

Here are my questions.

1. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

OK call me crazy or whatever but I wouldn't really want to travel out of the country. I would love to go to a few places out of the USA but I'm really wanting more than anything to visit New York. I've never been and I really do want to go. Its been a dream of mine. One day I will go there! Then I'll know if it was worth the hype :)

2. How may children do you want? Do you want them close in age or further apart?

I want four beautiful little angel babies and preferably a girl in there. But if I get four boys then I will love my little men just the same.

I would love to have them close together. However we will just have to see how easy or hard it is for me to get prego???

3. What would your favorite date night look like?

Honestly... A summer breezy night. Maybe dinner in either a really nice restaurant where I can be dressed up and pampered or eating outside somewhere with a nice breeze and great food and a good view of the city.

A fun movie afterward or going somewhere for desert would be great. I love desert!

Then come home and hang with both of my boys.

I'm pretty easy to please.

4. What do people say is your best physical feature?

Almost any comment I ever get about my physical features is about my eyes. I have blue eyes and have had many comments on how light bright blue they are. I don't seem to notice and what's really funny is that I have always loved LOVED brown eyes. I dreamed of a brown eyed baby. But now I have my sweet Cooper with big old baby blues. I love them so much. I'm so happy he has my eyes.

I still love me some big brown eyes though :)

Now for the girls I will tag...

2. What is your favorite outfit, the one that makes you feel amazing when you go out in public. And why?

3. Favorite movie?

4. Who is your all time favorite famous man crush?

5. Do you prefer sweet or salty foods? This is a personality question :)

Have fun!!
