My boys!

We had a great weekend for the most part. Spent time with some great friends and worked on indoor and outdoor projects that had to get done before next weeks big b-day bash of the year!
This morning we woke up and played around in the house before we went to church. While in church, Cooper started to get a little bit restless and he grabbed his blanky from his diaper bag. I gave him a paci and he cuddled up to his blanket and my chest and started to unwind. Then suddenly he realized he was letting himself fall asleep and he became very fidgety and wanted down. I put him down, figuring he would come back and get in my lap in a second. He took one step tripping on the blanket and went face first into the kneelers that are in each seat at our church. The bottom foot part of the kneeler went directly into my poor baby's forehead. At first I thought he just bumped into it and held him close cuddling him while he did an insane silent cry. Suddenly he was screaming and I pulled him back to see the LARGEST freaking huge purple and blue bump protruding from his forehead. It scared me half to death. I do know that when it bumps out that is good. But still this was HUGE and it was purple, red and blue all over the place. By far the worst bump Cooper has gotten yet.
I grabbed him up and ran out of the church to the parking lot reaching for my phone frantically to call my mom and ask if I should take him to the hospital. To me it was really bad. My husband came running out with all of our stuff. My mom calmed me down and assured me that if it was out and his eyes looked OK and he was acting OK that he was probably fine. We got him some ice in the church kitchen and watched him like a hawk for a little bit. His head looked terrible.
Needless to say, he is fine. He didn't sleep for a while just to be cautious. He just really got himself good this time.
I took a picture and this was about 6-7 hours after the fall. Its gone down tremendously but its still pretty blue and slightly protruding. Poor kid. He is going to have one really good bruise over his eye on his bday. It makes me sad, and I felt terrible for not thinking to lift his blanket before he started to try to walk. Next time I will be paying attention to that.

I realize that it seems small here. Trust me it was by no means small when he hit it. I'm sure you've all seen this sort of thing. It scared me half to death.
Right now though he is all happy and geared up for the Cowboys game tonight. I even texted my dad some pics of him in his little Jersey. I bet my dad is so proud. We are huge Cowboy fans. :)

These are from the beginning of the weekend. Cooper is such a mess, always getting into stuff. He's so funny.

Well, I'm off to get the Coopster in the bath and off to bed. I've been missing again from blogging. I read and never comment. But this week I plan on making up for my lack of comments. I've seen birthday's and all sorts of fun things I need to go back and leave messages for.
Last...
I made Cooper a few shirts to wear on his actual birthday, birthday party, and second b-day party. The second one is just iron on and the first one I made from scratch. Well sort of. Not the tshirt part of course.
I also made the party hat. None of them turned out boutique worthy or perfect but I thought I did a decent job. And for a WAY cheaper price.

Have a great week. :)
Next time I post it will be about my little mr. turning one. I can't hardly believe it!
