Our weekend didn't go quite as planned.

Friday when I left work the sky was light blue, with whirly white see through clouds sitting softly up in the sky. The sun was shining down on all of our city. The air was a warm 65 degrees and the wind was blowing but it was warm instead of cool. I happily bounced to my car, ready to go pick up the Coopy Monster.
I had a bad few days (Thursday and Friday). I was feeling like the daycare decision wasn't a good choice and regretting putting him in. I was so upset Thursday night for a few different reasons. A friend of mine actually picked up Cooper from Daycare for us early on Friday so he wouldn't have to stay all day. That made me SOOO HAPPY! So my attitude had changed for the better. It was the weekend. I got to spend quality time with my boys in the warm sun. Cooper has never really gotten to go outside much. When he was born it was changing to fall and was too cool for an infant to be outside. Then winter came and now finally the sun is out and the weather is nice. I had this wonderful image of us waking up Saturday, Me cleaning my entire house spotless and feeling that amazing feeling of accomplishment as we strapped Cooper into his stroller (big boy style, no more car seat on top). Us taking a walk with the dogs, Cooper staring around at all the tree's the sun, the park. Awe what a wonderful image it was. I was so excited.

Saturday morning I woke up and I walk into Cooper's room where He and daddy are sitting. Julian says to me "He's sort of got a runny nose". I was like "Oh no". Sure enough crazy runny nose boy he was.
He went down for a nap a few hours later and when I went to get him out of his crib when he woke up I found this......

I mean isn't that just so sad, Look at that sad litttle face ans swollen little eye. Makes me so sad!
I was shocked. His whole eye was swollen and purplish red colored. It had all those yuckies in it like he had pink eye. His nose was a faucet and now he had developed a cough and constant sneeze. MY GOSH, HOW FAST CAN A CHILD GO DOWNHILL! It broke my heart.
I was shocked at how quickly all of this developed. But Cooper was still in a good mood.
We called the doctors line and were told to take him to the minor emergency pediatrics office. We took him and the nurses and doctors were wonderful. They played with him and smiled and talked to him. He weighs 14 lbs 7 ounces now.
The doctor told us he has a cold that has caused an infection in his eye due to all the drainage and crud in his head. They gave him some eye drops, told us to keep using the little noses spray and keep sucking out the junk. So that's what we've been doing. Its sad though, seeing him this way. I hate seeing him sick.
He woke up this morning slightly better in the eye but he cold part is even worse.

STUPID DAYCARE. sorry, I'm just upset because I was hoping that his immune system would be a little stronger than this. One week at the daycare and he's already sick. He's never really been really sick before. He had a tiny cold after Christmas (like a one day cold) but nothing like this. It breaks my heart and makes me want to pull him out ASAP! But I know we have to try at least to get adjusted and give this a good try. If its still not working out for us I know we can find something else anytime. I just feel like he deserves to be somewhere clean and where he gets lots of love and I don't feel like he's getting that there. It kills me. Its a nice daycare and the people are nice. But I feel like he's too young to be there. When I went to pick him up Thursday I cried hard after I left. Because walking in that room reminded me of walking into a cattle barn. He was just sitting there in a toy by himself. Other babies were sitting in there toys by themselves. It was so sad. He deserves better. He is my baby boy and he deserves so much. He deserves love and attention and happiness. Call me a spoiling mama or whatever. I don't care if that's what it is. I just feel like he's too young. He isn't being spoiled, its called being loved. When he's older he can play and walk and talk and sing songs. But right now he's just stuck in some toy and left. I hate that! It makes me NEVER want to take him there again. Sorry for the rant but I'm dealing with so many conflicting emotions right now about it all.

Anyways, hopefully Coop will feel better soon. Until then I will take good care of him and make him feel the best I can. He's been sleeping on us and cuddling like you've never seen him cuddle before. Poor baby just doesn't feel good.

I hope the rest of you are having a good weekend.

I took this little questionnaire from the blog of Katie over at http://katiefinn411.blogspot.com/
I think it sounds like fun and I always love to read stuff like this so I figured I would do it also.

Here goes: OUR STORY

1. What are your middle names? Mine is Sara and Julian's is Wayne

2. How long have you been together? 11 years together (since we were 16 years old) in June 7 years married.

3. How long did you know each other before you started dating? I knew Julian for about a year and a half before we started dating. He was dating another girl. His best friend was dating my best friend so we sort of ran into each other.

4. Who asked who out? Julian's friend asked me if he could give Julian my number. I told him no (ha-ha, I was only 15 and I was shy to the boys). We saw each other again later that year and I ended up giving him my number but nothing really ever happened to much with it all. Then a year later, another friend of his asked me if I would go to the dance with Julian. Man his friends really wanted to get us together! So I said yes. Julian started to call me and a year later we were "dating" for real. We've been together ever since.

5. How old are each of you? We are both 27

6. Did you go to the same school? Yes, High school.

7. Are you from the same home town? Yes, we were both born at the same hospital only 2 weeks apart. Crazy huh..

8. Who is the smartest? Definitely Julian. He's such a smart man, Sometimes I just feel like a big ditz around him. I'm not I promise (well not all the time, =)

9. Who majored in what? Julian went to A.P school. Airplane Mechanic school at a college in Tulsa. I started to get my elementary education degree so I can be a teacher but then I got married, started working full time and quit school. Not the best choice on my part.

10. Who is the most sensitive? ME!

11. Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple? We went to Cancun together for our honeymoon. That's probably the farthest.

12. Who has the worst temper? Me again! I have a big personality what can I say.

13. How many children do you want? I want 4, I think Julian will have however many I want. However we will have to find a way to make enough money to support them all. YIKES.

14. Who does the cooking? I do but any time I have to fry hamburger meat, like for spaghetti or something, Julian does it. He has some special powers and puts seasoning salt in the meat and its SOOO good!

15. Who is more social? Me, I talk way to much. Its true. I can talk to anyone, I somehow can strike up a conversation with anyone if need be. He's really good at making people laugh though in a dry sense of humor way.

16. Who is the neat freak? He is more neat than I am but neither of us are "neat freaks". I sort of wish we were though.

17. Who is the most stubborn? (Clearing of throat, uhhhem). That would be me AGAIN!

18. Who wakes up earlier? He does, He's always been much better at getting up in the mornings. I'm way to lazy and tired to get up. I have to be woken up multiple times and basically scared by him saying "your going to be late for work" and that will get me up. I've been doing better since Coopy came along though. I get up for him because he means the world to me.

19. Where was your first date? The 9th grade dance was technically our first date. But our first real date we went to see the movie "Private Ryan". Interesting first date choice huh.

20. Who has the bigger family? Um I think I do. I have a large family on both sides and he has a large family on one side but not the other.

21. Do you get flowers often? I used to but lately no. We focus lots of our money on stuff for Cooper.

22. How do you spend the holidays? Oh its quite the busy crazy time for us.
The night before Christmas eve we go to my parents and spend the night there. Do Christmas eve morning with my family. Christmas eve day we go to Julian's dad's family. That night we do his moms family. Christmas day we do our own Christmas at home and then go to my Grandmas for dinner where my entire family is at. Its allot but its so much fun!

23. Who is more jealous? Neither of us are really jealous.

24. How long did it take to get serious? We probably thought we were serious way back in the beginning when we were 16 or 17 years old. But I would say our senior year in high school is when we really started to believe we were together forever.

25. Who eats more? Definitely him.

26. What do you do for a living? I work as a receptionist at a pipe supply company. Julian works on aircraft engines and parts and he also has his own Mechanics shop.

27. Who does the laundry? Pretty much me, but he'll move the laundry from the washer to the dryer for me. Because I complain about it being to heavy. I'm such a weak bum.

28. Who's better with the computer? Probably him but I'm getting more computer savvy these days.

29. Who drives when you are together? Always me, because when he drives I criticize allot and it drives him crazy. Its actually kind of funny because I don't even realize I'm doing it. But he's always telling me I am. So he won't drive unless he has to now, which is fine by me.

30. What is your song? We sort of have two. Our first song is from when were 16 years old. Its called "Patience" by guns and roses. Its a good song. But the week of our wedding I loved this song called "No letting go" By Wayne Wonder. Such a good song. You should go check it out. As a matter of a fact here's a link. Listen. We made it our song as well. Its a great song and the words are good too.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvJi8INoyUw I love this song. It reminds me of our wedding week. Such a great week of my life. Such great memories. I love that a song can take me back like it was just yesterday.
Check it out.

This past weekend

This past weekend we went to visit my family in Norman. I haven't seen my parents and brothers, SIL and Niece in over a month and it was really getting to me. I was so excited to see them. For them to see Cooper.

We had a great time. We got there at 8:00 Friday night. We ate dinner and played a game. All of us. It was so much fun. Here are some pics of the game playing.
I didn't get everyone in the family in the picture but here are a few people.

After we let the kids play for a while, we all went over to this hole in the wall greek food restaurant. Its SOOO GOOD!!! It looks pretty skanky but I promise its really really good. We had so much fun.
After lunch Mom and I went over to the Just between friends sale. Its a sale they have twice a year. They gently used clothes. We found tons of cute shorts and little outfits for cooper. My mom bought them for him. I can't wait to dress him in the adorable little plaid cargo shorts she bought him for this summer.

Saturday evening my parents told us we could go out (we meaning my brother and his wife, Julian and I). They watched the kids and we got to have adult night out!
We had a blast. We went to an area in Oklahoma city called Brick town. Its so fun. We went to eat at Zio's and had a blast. After dinner we went to a bar that had the dueling piano's. It was so much fun. They have the crowd play along and sing with them and they do some really funny things. I really want to have a girls night and go with all my friends. It would be so much fun.
Here are some pics of the adults night out....

We had a wonderful weekend and can't wait to see all of them again in a few weeks for my neices 2nd birthday!

Daycare day number 2

Yesterday Cooper started his first day at his new daycare (learning center/whatever the heck its called). I was as I figured I would be completely worried and kissing his little puffy cheeks like he was going to be gone for a week. =) I just felt so bad that he had no idea that he was about to be dropped off all day at a completely new place with all new people. It broke my heart to say the least.
So the hubby took him (there was no way I could leave him on his first day). Julian dropped him off, after the boys drove away I started to cry but pulled myself together and became a tough mama. I put my makeup on, jumped in my car, tried to sing to the radio. The whole time worrying about my little monster. I forced myself not to call when I got to my desk at 8:00. At 9:00 I was staring at the clock wondering when it was too soon to "check in" on him. At 9:15 I hear my cell phone ringing from my purse. Sure enough it was his teacher. Not the receptionist at the front desk but his actual teacher. She was on break and decided to call me personally and tell me how he was doing. I felt so good that she called. She said he was being WONDERFUL!
She told me about his morning and how he was doing. It made me feel allot better. Then at about 10:30 I got an email from a good friend of mine named Rachel. She works at his new daycare. We've known each other for years and she is a really nice girl. She went into Coopers class and played with him and gave him hugs and took pictures of him with her I phone for me and emailed me a little message letting me know how he was and gave me pictures. I wanted to cry. But in a good way. I really appreciated how nice the girls were being.
The rest of the day went the same as the morning. I got at least 2 more emails from Rachel with pics attached. It really helped me to know he was doing good. When I went to pick him up he was happy as can be. Smiling and playing with the other babies. I missed him so much though.
Today Rachel sent me another update. They swaddled him today and he took a nice 2 hour nap for them this morning. So she sent me a picture of him all wrapped like a hot dog. Too funny.

The first two pictures are from yesterday and the second is from today. Please excuse the quality they were taken in a dark room with an i-phone.

He seems to be adjusting really well. Thank heavens.
I appreciate all your prayers.

Tonight I will post on our fun weekend with my family. We had a GREAT time and took lots of pictures of the kids. I can't wait to share!
