Merry Christmas!

Tomorrow is Christmas eve. The day we celebrate Christmas with my mom and dad, brothers, sister, and all the babies. I feel truly blessed to have such a wonderful family. God gave Julian and I our little angel baby and we couldn't be more thankful for this wonderful life he gives us.
This holiday is about Jesus and what he has done for all of us. Its about our lives lasting forever because of Gods forgiveness. I am so thankful to God for Jesus, for our families, for our children. For the love and support he surrounds us with. For my loved ones health. Thank you God.

Last night Julian, Cooper and I went to best buy and we bought our family Christmas gift. A video camera!!! We tried it out last night and taped Cooper, I will load up the video sometime in the next few days and share it. I'm so excited to make memories we can keep and watch in the future. You will be seeing allot more video from me from now on. :)

Well ladies, I hope you all have a wonderful and very Merry Christmas.

Cooper is 3 months old today

Today my little boy is 3 months old. Its hard to believe that just 3 short months ago I was welcoming the most amazing baby boy ever into my world. God has been so good to us and I am so very thankful each and ever day for my sweet Cooper baby.

What is Cooper doing these days....
-Cooper is sitting on our knee's well and he can hold his head up really high and strong as long as we hold his waist of course.
-He is rolling from his stomach to his back over and over again
-He can push off with his legs into a standing position and he absolutely loves to bounce once he is standing.
-Cooper loves to talk to himself or whoever wants to listen, he coo's and gaa's and makes all kinds of noises.
-He is sleeping nicely and soundly through the night.
-Cooper is still such a sweetie pie cuddle bug. When he's not in active mood you can pick him up and hold him close and he will just lay his head on your chest or shoulder and love you. Its so sweet. I absolutely love this about him.
-He is growing so fast, he is wearing 0-3 month clothes but he is quickly growing out of them. He's just so tall :)
-He is learning to show some of his little attitude. He will cry when we are in the car when he's in a playful mood because nobody is back there to play with him. He wants to be talked to and enjoys interaction very much.
-Cooper does not like it when we are driving somewhere and we hit a red light and have to stop. He screams angrily at us until we move again, then he is perfectly fine as soon as we get to moving. Its quite a tantrum, but for some reason we find it funny. Because he turns it off like a switch.
-Cooper LOVES his bath time still. He splashes and kicks and plays. He smiles so big at himself when he's in the tub playing. He will spaz out and kick and he has this serious look on his face and once he see's the splashes he starts smiling huge! Its so funny.

There are so many things about him that are changing and growing and so many things we love about him. I could go on for days.

Happy 3 month Birthday sweet Cooper!

It feels like its been forever.

What a long week. I haven't had time to catch up with anybody, to post on my own blog or anything. Today is my catch up day.
Lets see??? The earlier part of me week was ok. We would come home from work and finish working on the tree, eat dinner, play with Cooper and go to bed. Thursday I went to meet a friend for lunch and on my way back to work I was in an accident. I am fine first and foremost, and the other driver was fine as well. I was on my way back to work and someone rear ended me. I was stopped at a red light waiting to turn right when the car coming up behind me (who apparently wasn't paying any attention whatsoever) smashed into the back of me. It gave me a hard jolt and scared the living crap out of me but luckily I was fine. THANK HEAVENS COOPER WASN'T WITH ME! I called the police to come and take our info and the 911 operator asked me if anyone needed an ambulance, I told her no, She asked if there were any fluids leaking from either car. I said "well there is something coming from the front of his car but It might just be water"? She said ok. Next thing I know 3 YES THATS RIGHT 3 fire trucks and an ambulance come flying around the corner. Also a police officer. I was so embarrassed. They must have been bored or something because wow, thats a total of 5 emergency vehicles and me and the man that hit me are out there standing by our cars basically ok. It looked worst than I felt.
My head did hurt from it slamming into the seat and after about 15 minutes out of my car talking to the police I started to notice my back and neck hurting. I am fine now, still a little sore but nothing seriouse thank the lord. My SUV had to be towed to a body shop because the back end was pretty messed up. Not safe to drive on the road. I love my car too, they will decide in the next day or two weather or not they will fix it or give me money for it. I do love this car though. Its been a great vehicle for me. I drive a Mitsubishi Montero. Its big and roomy, has a huge back door that's super easy to open. The inside is comfortable and nice and I have always really liked this one. I'm sort of sad that I might have to find something else. But at the same time, I have had this car for 6 years now and its getting older and was probably ready for a trade in anyways.
My boss was kind enough to let me use the company car until the other persons insurance company gave me a rental. I thought that was really nice of him. The place I work for is so wonderful.
Friday was an ok day. I was sore and tired and the rental car company was giving me hell. I was on the phone all day it seemed like with the adjuster and insurance company. What a pain! Oh and my gyno had to cancel my appointment with them Friday. But all in all I turned out fine at the end of the week. My baby wasn't with me and I got to come home to my sweet husband and adorable son. So everything is truly still very good for me. I go to the doctor next Thursday now.

Saturday Coop, hubby and I went Christmas shopping. We had fun, even though it was absolutely insane out there. Cooper was so good, he was in a great mood all day long. Saturday night we went bowling with my best friend and her husband and again Cooper was really good. We had such a great time. I haven't bowled in forever! It was a blast. I was terrible though. Hah, I guess now they have this thing in the corner of the screen that says how fast your ball was going when you roll it down. My husbands and friends hubby's were going 20 mph. My bff's was going 10mph or higher. Mine was going 5-6 mph. SERIOUSLY! Hah, Its like a five year old threw it. I thought that was funny. I was the loser of the group. I scored lower than everyone but I had so much fun. I've never been the best of bowlers but for some reason I really enjoy playing it. We ended the night with a fun dinner at Charlestons and we brought Coop home and got to bed.

Today we are spending the day cleaning and playing with Cooper. I can't believe Christmas is in less than two weeks. That's insane! Where did the time go. Its flying by at a rate I never knew possible.

Oh and last thing!!!! I have 100 followers. I can't believe it. A year ago this past December I started up this blog so that I could have people who were going through what I was to talk to. I ended up getting those girls plus a whole buch of mom friends to help me with my new mom questions. I love to release my feelings and to have supportive friends out of this. So thanks girls for helping me out and giving me advice and making me laugh (you girls are so funny).

Very soon I believe I will be printing off my whole blog and making a book for Cooper out of it. Since it is basically a documented journal of my entire pregnancy and his early days. I would love to be able to have it forever.
I will keep blogging still. I just want to print off what I have for him and for me to have in the future.

Here are some pictures of Cooper over the past week. I have so many to post, I will post a bunch but I know I have to leave a few off because there is no way I can add them all to this post. It would drag on for forever. Also our Christmas tree is in these too. :)

Shots and a crazy weekend.

Lets start with this weekend. I had a good weekend sort of. We went to Norman to visit my parents and brothers. Saturday was fun. Mom, Sis in law, and I went shopping. I didn't get much done but I got a few things for Cooper. Saturday night I went to my cousins to see our Christmas pictures she took of us over Thanksgiving break. They look great. My cousin Caroline and I went back to my parents for dinner and my mom, Caroline, Cooper and I went out to the Olive Garden for some yummy desert. Leaving all the guys (minus Coop) at home to watch football. We had so much fun laughing and talking, It was a blast.
Sunday was a different story however. I woke up swollen and stuffed up. My allergies had taken a turn for the worse throughout the evening. We were supposed to take a family snap shot for my parents Christmas card that morning so everyone was supposed to be dressed and ready by 9:00. My little family of 3 was ready although I looked like complete poo! I had a headache from Hell, and I wasn't in the best of moods. Come to find out neither was my older brother or husband. Everyone was arguing and mad. The night before my younger brother was watching the movie "Christmas Vacation" which is one of my very favorite movies of all time. Well he decides to tell everyone that My husband Julian and I are like the bitchy neighbors "Margo and Todd" who bicker and argue throughout the entire movie. Which correction, yes I am outspoken but I'm not really like her and I promise the hubby and I get along most of the time. I'm just a little more verbal with my feelings then some women are. At first the I laughed like the Margo comment was funny haha, but come Sunday morning during picture time. NOT SO FUNNY ANYMORE. It hurt my feelings because they all kept calling me Margo because I was in a bad mood. I didn't even realize how mean I was being. I ended up excusing myself to the bathroom and crying because I was so hurt. Margo isn't really someone I would want to be compared to. Anyways the rest of the day went right along with the morning. Later that day we went to this Christmas bread party at a friend of my moms house. My mom really wanted me to take Cooper even though Julian and my dad were staying home. She wanted to show him off so we took him. Sure enough here we are in this tiny little house on campus in Norman and my son takes a huge dump. HUGE! It came out of his pant leg that's how much was in there. He of course was all smiles. (This happens like every 2-3 weeks by the way), but most the time we are at home. He will have a completely clean diaper on and he will just start going and its a ton! Anyways, I had to rush him back to a guest bedroom but the damage was already done. The poo smell had already erupted in the living room where everyone was, leaving a terrible scent. His pants were already destroyed. I started to clean him and it took so many wipes that I noticed I was actually getting low and I ended up taking a clean diaper to wipe some of it off of him so I could use the wipes in the end. It was insane. Needless to say I got out of there really fast once he was changed in a new set of clothes, I had a bag full of dirty clothes to take home. It was horrible. I know that's what happens when you have a baby but seriously Coop... This is the 2nd time he's done this to me at a party at someone Else's house.
Then last but not least, Right before we go to leave I run to go the bathroom before packing up our things. Sure enough I am spotting again, That's the 4th time this month I've bled. Yes 4 times! My side was hurting (because of the lovely cysts). I went to my room to pack up and burst into tears. My mom was like "whats wrong". I told her I had started spotting again, and that everyone thought I was being a huge bitch all day long and that I was really hurt by the Margo comment. I had upset nearly everyone in my family at some point that day. I felt terrible! Then it hit me. I'm not trying to make up for my terrible attitude all day but my hormones were all out of wack. I know that something is totally messed up and its making me miserable. So I called my Gyno first thing Monday morning to go in and try to figure out what to do to help me out. I go in on Friday. Hopefully we can get this fixed.
Sorry that was so long, I just had to get it out.
I promise my life is good, but having my hormones all wacky on me makes me feel like I have split personality. Its horrible. I've been through all of this before but that doesn't make it any easier.

Yesterday Cooper got his 2 month Shots. Poor baby was so upset when they gave him the shots. He was seriously purple he was so upset. It broke my heart. He did end up calming down after an ear piercing scream for about 5-10 minutes. I held him close and calmed him down the best I could.
The good news is that the doctor said he looked great. He's holding his head up very good. She was impressed with his head control. She also thought he was doing great with his leg strength and was surprised he rolled over already.
He weighs 10lb 9oz and he is 2 months and 3 weeks old right now.
Here are his percentages for where he is compared to other kids his age...
25% for his weight
50% for his head
75% for his length

He is one skinny tall boy. I asked the doctor if we should be concerned about his weight, should we feed him more? She assured us that he was doing just fine and eating enough. She was actually happy about his weight and felt like he's grown well for the past two months considering he was only 6 lbs even at birth. So hopefully he keeps staying healthy. I'm so thankful to God that our angel boy is doing well and growing good.

Attached is a picture of one of the family shots we got Sunday morning. Not one of my best but at least we got a pic as a family. That's what is the most important. This is our very first family Christmas picture with both my niece and our Cooper in it.

Thanks ladies.

Well I read some of my comments from my last post and I have to say thank you for sharing with me girls. I know that I'm not the only one out there with a child that is still trying to adjust to loss of free time, or really the loss of time period. It is nice to hear that I'm not alone. It was so nice to read that I'm not the only mom out there that has a house that severely needs to be cleaned, that the dinners are usually taco Bueno or Sonic, and that has toys and junk laying around in every nook and cranny. I wouldn't trade it for the world and I know none of you would either. I guess I just have to get used to life in a hectic and messy house.

I hope all of you enjoy the rest of your weekend. Thanks again ladies. I LOVE COMMENTS. They make me happy and you girls are always so sweet and understanding.

Pure insanity

I feel like lately my life is full of complete insanity! Its always go go go, and we have to do this and we need to get that. No time to just hang out, something always needs to be done. Our house is a complete wreck. We have all wood floors and they are so dusty and gross just from regular house dust accumulating over the past week or so. The laundry isn't done and when I start it, I never seem to get it into the dryer. So we have to start all over again. We get home from work and Julian and I are both running around like crazy people taking care of Cooper, doing bills, trying to do laundry, feed the baby, bath the baby (one of my favorite times, because he's so happy and funny in the tub). spend time with him, clean the house up (because it looks like a complete mess), I have to shower for the next day, then Julian does. We need to eat dinner, put the laundry away that actually did get done. we have errands to run. Its pure craziness. All of this is supposed to happen from 6:00-maybe 10:00 or 11:00 and at the end of it all we are exhausted.
But in light of it all, Cooper is our number one priority. Spending time with him every night is top priority. So that's what we do. All the other things tend to go to the side until we can find time, which seems to be never. That's totally fine with me because honestly when I get home from work all I want to do is spend time with Coop but sometimes, maybe once every 2-3 weeks I have to find a moment to pick up our junk in our house because it becomes unlivable.
I feel like I don't have enough time in the day.
Next week we will start Christmas shopping, which yes I realize we are really getting a late start. But we will start next week. That will make it even harder to get things done at home, to cook dinner and do chores. I need more time in my days or I need to make more money so I can hire a housekeeper and a cook. That would be FABULOUS! A women can dream can't she :)

TAM tag

Today I received a TAM (True Authentic Mom) tag from Erin at the Williamson family blog http://everbrooke.blogspot.com. I am following what she did on her blog. I am supposed to post 5 things that make me a true authentic mommy.

Here goes....

1. I read Cooper a book and rock him every single night until he is almost asleep and then put him in his crib telling him night night. It works great and he loves to fall asleep in his crib. Its nice quiet time for us. Sometimes daddy does this with him too.

.....................................................................................

2. I rush to go get Cooper every night after work and plan on spending every waking moment I can with him once I have him. I go to bed so late just because I'm playing with him or talking to him, bathing him, feeding him, reading to him, you name it. Sometimes I actually get sad when he starts to drift to sleep because I know I have to put him in his crib and go to bed myself. That means I won't get to spend anymore quality time with him until the next day when I pick him up. I wake up and give him his morning bottle every other day but other than that I don't see him until after work. Working is so hard. I miss him like CRAZY!
.....................................................................................

3. I love to put hats and shoes on Cooper. Its one of my favorite dress up things to do. We have tons of different little winter hats, tons of cute shoes. I feel like it just adds a little something. He just looks so cute in them all.
Not to mention its becoming quite freezing cold outside and our Coop hates to be cold. I just have started putting shoes on him. They didn't fit until now. Here are a few of his shoes/hat pics. We have a ton so I just picked these out of the bunch.

.....................................................................................

4. Every time we go to Norman to visit my parents we have to take the bathtub with us. Yes for bath time but mainly because Cooper can't sleep in his pack and play and he loves his bathtub. So we let him sleep in it when we are there. Whatever works right? Usually he wears clothes when sleeping, One of these pictures were taken when he was just hanging out and I set him in his bath. So funny, he just loves it.

.....................................................................................

5. Coopers diaper bag is literally overfilled with things he "might need" throughout the day or when we go out. Its ridiculous I'm sure. I look at other moms diaper bags and wonder how they have anything in them when mine looks like its about to explode. I have all the usual items, burp cloths, diapers, wipes, clothes, socks, bottle, formula, a hat, 2 pacifiers at all times, a thermometer, a blanket, possibly a pair of shoes, a changing pad, mylanta for the reflux, a rattle. More things I'm sure that I'm just missing some.
Not to mention the items I lug back and forth to his two sitters house. Its insane.

Now I'm supposed to tag 5 other people. I can't get my link option to work on my blog. I'm not sure of another way to do it so I will just list the blogs I chose below.
