Blakely's birthday parties and her actual birthday

Blake had two big birthday parties.  One at 10:00 in the morning for friends and another at 5:00 the same day for family.  It was a long day and everyone was exhausted afterwards, but we had a blast :)

Here are tons of pictures from my angel girls 1st birthday weekend.  Including her actual birthday, when Julian and I took Blakey and Cooper to the Zoo and then had a barbeque that night.  I think she had a great time.

Blakely Ann an entire year old and shinier than ever!

I am hear to tell you, baby girl you shine like a firework.  I chose to put the song Firework in your birthday video we played at your party (among many other great songs just for you).  But this song just screams Blakely.

"Baby your a firework, come on let your colors burst".  You are the sweetest, most cuddly and adorable and loving and kind little girl.  No exaggerations. You truly are such a kind hearted baby girl.  You aren't hyper or crazy active.  But you get around.  You are a shining light and when you smile the entire room and everyone in it lights up with you.  You bring happiness to all who surround you.
You have a contagious happiness that shines from within you.  I hear it daily from people who are around you, or meet you. That your whole face just LIGHTS UP when you smile, in turn making our faces light up.

That being said, I can't believe my baby girl is one already.
You are walking, running all over the place.  You are talking in bits and pieces.  "Mama, dada, ya!, GET DOWN" These are the common things you say.  But you can seriously repeat just about anything anyone says. 
You are weighing about 23 lbs I think, but we don't go to your appointment until next week.  So we might get some new weight.
Your so tall (I'll tell you that one later also when I get the real answer)
You have 5 teeth (three on top, two on bottom)
You eat literally ANYTHING we put in front of you and you love all of it.  You are a great eater.
You are generally a very happy little miss, but sometimes you turn on your Diva within and you have a little tude.  You have learned to throw fits this past month, you do a dangerous reverse head butt.  You throw your head back really fast and land hard.  Its ridiculous because by the time we realized we have upset you and you its too late.  You are already in full blown head throw back and you hit your head on any floor or surface in the way.  You would think you would learn when you whack your head on the ground hard, but nope you keep doing it.  Hopefully this will pass soon.
You love to play with your brother, especially when he runs from you and you chase him and catch him.  You both just crack up and love it.
You love your Minnie mouse doll we got you for Christmas.  You LOVE your Nana's and papa's.  You LOVE your daddy and you never have troubles falling fast asleep in the nook of mommy's arm under a warm blanket on a Saturday or Sunday.  I love those moments :)

You are doing so many things I wouldn't even know where to begin?  Your growing so fast and so beautifully.  You are an absolute joy and blessing to our lives and we thank God daily for you.  WHAT A BLESSING YOU ARE.

Stay true to the you that we all love and know always sweetie.  You are something special.  Happy first birthday sweet Blakey!  We love you!

My little loves

I know its been forever.  I can't believe how bad I've gotten.  I realized today how badly I wish I was recording the things that my kids are doing.  Each wee*k its new things they say and do and I never want to forget them.

So today I am recording the funny things my kids say and do.

Cooper.

*Has been referring to himself in the third person, HILARIOUS!
Example "Mommy Cooper Case really wants a drink of water", Or "Cooper wants to get out of bed". 

*Has been singing everything he says

* Has been cracking us up...
Example: Through clenched teeth while sitting the in the car next to Blakely while she is crying "I'm trying really hard not to get mad at you right now".  I say, Cooper what did you say ?  "I said, I'm trying not to get mad at you right now".  Me.. who are you talking to "That baby over there"...  As he points at his sister.
Ummmm are you referring to your sister.  Daddy explains to him that he understands sometimes that he gets frustrated with Blakey but he needs to calm down and just take it easy.  HAHA.

*Cooper comes to me Saturday and tells me he needs to go the "Pivacy".  He meant he wanted to go to a private place to go to the restroom.  "The pivacy".
Yes in case your curious we are just now getting ready to potty train and yes he is two and a half.  We are sort of late bloomers.


Blakely

*She said "Paci, Uh oh, Mama, Dada, Sit down, Tissue.
She randomly talks and every time it takes us by surprise. 

*Blake is starting to hold her own with her big brother, she is fast and walking everywhere.  She is strong and almost bigger than he is :)

*Blakely loves to eat and has NEVER turned any food away.  Seriously, out of every meal every day for two months of big girl food she seems to love every single thing she eats.

*Blake is 11 months old yesterday.  1 more month until the big year!

My kids are getting so big.  I absolutely adore them.

Happy St. Patrick's day 2012

The kids are decked out in their St. Patti's day gear. Yet we are stuck in the house. Sick again :( Hopefully on the mend though. My sweet amazing and loving mom came and spend 3 full days here morning noon and night helping take care of two very sick kids. The fevers lasted 5 days and there were lots of sad little sickly faces in our home. Thank the lord its almost past.

On a lighter note, a week ago my sweet neice Natalie turned 4 years old. I'm posting pics from her party as well as some st. Patti's day pics.

Blakely Ann 10 months already.

I can't believe our Blakely is 10 months old already.

Blake you are such a loving sweet girl.
Two weeks ago you took your first steps. You are growing so quickly before our eyes.
We could not feel more blessed to have you in our lives. You are saying mama and dada, you shake your head yes and no in response to us when we ask you questions. You are so smart and silly and truly you are the sweetest baby girl I've ever known. You are even tempered and happy and cuddly.

We are so in love with you!

Sometimes I just sit back and bask in the happiness of my beautiful children. I mean truly, they are the true meaning of happiness. They are always smiling and laughing and enjoying life. What beautiful blessings they are. Cooper is so sweet and loving, he makes us laugh daily. He is our little commedian, you never know what kind of hilarious sarcastic thing he might say next. Blakely is as sweet as they come, and so cuddly and loving as well. She is getting so big so fast. She took her first real steps on Sunday March 4th. 8 good steps in a row. We were so excited for her.

Shannon's baby shower

One of my closest friends Shannon is having a baby boy very soon. His name will be Brady. This past weekend Myself and three of Shannon's closest friends and her sister threw a baby shower for her. We did a couples shower. It was in the evening and it ended up being so much fun. The guys played poker (they had to buy in with a pack of diapers). Shannon was able to get tons of diapers for Mr. Brady. All of us girls sat and watched her open gifts. We played The price is right with baby items, We played the game where you put the baby in ice cubes and whoevers baby breaks free first yells "My water broke" and they win :) We also played a fun game where you match up candy names to other random things that sound like that candy.
I think everyone had a good time.

I do want to ask for a special prayer from all of you. Shannon (the one we had the shower for), she went into early labor last week. They were able to stop the contractions by giving her a shot at first, but then they started back up. They then tried some intravenous drugs that did stop them. She's been sick off and on this past week and although she is no longer on bed rest was told she may or may not make it another 3 weeks or so. She was 34 weeks when she went into early labor. So its not too terribly early but still. Please keep Shannon and baby Brady in your prayers for a safe and healthy delivery.
