Christmas with the Case's

I can't believe Christmas 2011 is over.
We had a great Christmas filled with lots of family and laughter. Santa came and blessed the kids with way more than they ever need. They are loving everything they have :)
We spent Christmas eve morning with my family. Christmas eve night with Julian's family. Then Christmas day we did our own Christmas at our house and my parents came over. We then went to church and over to my grandma's for the rest of the day. My husband and I both have big families so both days were filled with lots of people and fun.

Cooper is just so sweet. He says the most hilarious things. He always has us laughing. Just a few weeks ago my brother was here eating dinner and Cooper was so excited and hyped up that he was here with us that he threw his food. He of course got into trouble. He cried because he was embarrassed. So after talking to him about it I said "I'm sorry I got mad at you, but you need to listen to mommy. I love you".... He says nothing back. I say "can you say I love you back"? So he leans in as if he's going to give me a kiss and says to me in whisper "no I can't". HAHAAA, I seriously cracked up. It was so funny.
He thinks he's monster and he says "I'm a monster" and he growls at whoever is nearby. Even if we are out in public. I do laugh but at the same time I'm like "Stop it Cooper, please don't growl at those people".
Blakely started to full on crawl and is even pulling up into the standing position all by herself. She isn't cruising yet but she is pulling up on furniture and standing there. I always stand there really close by just in case she is about to topple over.
What a big girl she is. She is sleeping better, still having issues sleeping through the night though. She still laughs out loud at her big brother. They are like best buds.

I hope you all had a great Christmas as well and a very happy new year!

December 15th 2011, Blakely is 7 months old today!

Happy 7 months sweet girl!!!

Time is flying but when do I not say that, Isn't it always passing by to quickly?

You are such a light in our life. What a happy smiley lovable cuddly baby love you are.
I love you more and more every day and I don't even know how its possible to love you more. Just when I think I'm more in love than a mommy can be I fall more in love with you.
Your bright blue sparkly eyes, Your big huge dimples :) Your humongously adorable cheeks, your sweet voice when you talk to us, Your smiley happy personality that is so often surrounding us. You are by far the most cuddly baby I've ever known. You will lay your head down on our chest or neck at any chance you get and you leave it there to cuddle with us for as long as we need you to. Truly such a sweetie!
You have started to get a tiny bit of a diva attitude. You prefer to be in a room where everyone is. You want to go wherever mommy, daddy and brother go. You are a people person. You love to play in the bath, you love toys and chewing on anything you can get your hands on. Still no teeth though.
Your trying to crawl. You can rock like your going to do it but you only crawl backwards for now. You just started to eat baby food and you LOVE it. Why am I not surprised. You have always been a really good eater :)
You weigh around 20 lbs and you are very tall. You wear 9-12 month shirts and some of them are a little snug so you might actually really be in 12 month shirts. You wear 12-18 month pants. You are in a size 3 shoe as of this week.
You sit up like a champ and go from sitting to crawl position and back to sitting. You want to pull up on furniture so bad, just this week you have been trying to pull on anything you can but your little feet just aren't sturdy enough yet to hold you straight up and you usually end up toppling over before you even get close to standing :(. Sad but cute.
You absolutely ADORE your big brother Cooper. He is your best friend and you smile and laugh at him anytime he's near you. You love him so much and you light up at the sight of him.
He love you so much back, always going to check on you or making you laugh by leaning over you and blowing on your tummy. What sweeties you guys are.
Next week we will celebrate your very first Christmas. We are so blessed and happy to have you in our lives Blakely. Mommy and daddy and Cooper and all of our family loves you more than words.

God: Thank you for the beautiful blessings you give to me and my family. Our beautiful children! They are such a wonderful gift to our lives. Sweet Blakely turns 7 months old today and we are so happy to have her happy smiling face gracing our every day. God please watch over our sweet children keeping them safe from harm alive and well, and again thank you so much for them :)
Please help Julian and I to be the wonderful parents that our babies deserve to have.
AMEN!

Lastly, I will be posting pics of both kids very very soon. I have so many new ones I'm just going to do a giant picture post :)

Thanksgiving, 6months old, and so many things going on around here.

I can't believe I missed my little Blakey's 6 month post. :(
But hey, I'm here now.

Blakely is now 6 months old, An entire half a year. I can't hardly believe it. She's truly getting so big. Sitting up like a champ these days, laughing constantly and smiling all the time. She's been having some troubles with some teething lately but still not teeth have popped through. They are so close we just know it.
Blake you weigh about 17-1/2 to 18 lbs at 6 months. You eat 4 ounces with cereal in it every 4 hours. You started baby food and its no surprise to us that you love it.
You are rocking on your knees and acting like you want to learn to crawl so bad. I bet in a few months you will be on your way wherever you want to go.
You still have no hair. But that's OK because this mama has about 50 different headbands, bows, and hats that I put you in. That's probably why your hair won't grow :)
You love your big brother. You literally laugh out loud when he comes near you.
You have a smile that can light up a room and you are such a happy wonderful little blessing.

Thanksgiving was nice this year. We went over to my husbands family's house and saw all of his family. We had fun visiting and watching the kids play. The food was wonderful! After that we went to my aunt and uncles house to meet my entire family. We at with them as well and had a great time there too. We are blessed to have such great families.

The Sunday after Thanksgiving we went over to my husband's grandparents house to get the entertainment center that his grandpa made us. ITS GORGEOUS!! No joke guys. He is such a talented man to be able to make things like this. I will post a picture soon. I'm at work so I can't from here but I promise a picture post to go along with all of the things I'm talking about is soon to come.
My parents also bought us a soft leather auto-man coffee table as well. It is so pretty in our living room with our new entertainment center.
We rearranged things and also put up all the Christmas decorations. It looks so pretty. I just love this time of year.

I'll also put up pics of all our fun Christmas decor.

We are keeping busy with our little ones. Cooper has been having a little bit of a listening problem. It irritates the daylights out of his dad and I but then he comes over and hugs you and says "I wuv you mommy". Just like Cupids arrow. That's all he has to say. Its hard to be so frustrated but at the same time think he's absolutely adorable. He still goes to time out, don't get me wrong.
He is hilarious though these days. Saying things that just blow us away. He is so funny and has such a great personality.

Julian and I are doing good also. We have date night tonight to go see the twilight movie. I'M SO EXCITED!

Tata for now!

Halloween and a robbery... Yes I said robbery.

First and foremost I would like to start with these adorable pictures of my little loves.

Cooper and Blakely were Mickey and Minnie for Halloween. Oh my goodness were they cute!

The weekend before Halloween we took the kids to visit my family. Every year we do a junior league fun run called the Monster Dash. Its really cute, the kids all dress up and we do a mile jog/walk with them. After the fun run there is a costume contest. We met up with mom, dad, my brother and sis in law and my two nieces to do this.
The adults can enter in a 5k, so my Brother, Husband and Sis in law all did that.
My sister in law got 5th place over all. WOOHOO. Go Jamie!

The kids loved the fun run, even though it was cold. We didn't win the costume contest, but we still had a great time. My moms friends little twins actually won the costume contest. They were just precious.

We spent the rest of the weekend enjoying family time.

Halloween, we met over at my friends house and ate dinner and did trick or treating in her neighborhood with all our kids. There were 4 families and all our little ones. Cooper was so cute. He would walk up to the door and hold out his hand like "Hand me the candy, come on already". I kept telling him to say trick or treat but he would only repeat me walking up to the house, not when we were at the door. :) He wouldn't even hold up the basket he had all his candy in, just his little hand extended and ready for the candy. So funny.
Blakely just rode around happy and content with her bf Bella.

These were just two really cute pics I took of B this week. Love her to tiny little pieces!

After we did our trick or treating we ended up leaving our friends a little past Cooper's bedtime. It was about 8:30. We drove home (1 mile) and I went to put Cooper in bed. My husband had remembered that we had forgotten to get some money out for our house cleaner. He decided to run over to the ATM one block from our house. This is not something we ever really do. We don't carry cash around and we never ever go get money out of ATM's after dark. But we knew the next day we wouldn't have time before work so he just ran over there. He drove home (a straight easy 30 second drive, our house is on the main street of our neighborhood, so we are a straight shot for the busy intersection with the ATM). He pulled into our driveway and as he started to climb out of his truck a man in a hoodie came running at him pointing a gun and yelling at him to "Give him his f-ing wallet". The F word was flowing rampid out of the guys mouth from what my husband tells me.
The man started yelling at Julian to give him the wallet. Julian thought it was a joke or something. I mean its Halloween night 9:00, kids just stopped trick or treating, we live on a very busy road. He tried to see the guys face and this really pissed the guy off and that's when he realized that it was real. The guy got really mad and started yelling at him to back up and throw the wallet. So Julian backed up to our garage door and threw the walled at the guy. The man backed up and jumped in his black dodge truck and drove off.
Julian watched them drive off but couldn't get the license number. :(
He came in the front door and just stood there in front of me looking shocked and said "Oh my gosh, babe I just got robbed." I said "What"!! and he said "Yes right here in our yard, right by our front door!!!".
I got up quickly with Blake in my arms and said "Oh my gosh, call the police now".
Three police cars showed up to our house within 3 minutes. I was shaking. Oh my gosh, they could have shot my husband. They could have forced him in the door of the house and been here with my babies. So many Could have's were running through my head. Two of the officers sped off once they had the description of the vehicle to try to find them. One stayed with us until about 10:45.

I still can't believe someone would do this. And for what? 20 OR 30 dollars. Really!!!
To top off the night, after the police officer left our house. Most likely some mean kids came up on our front porch and stole the pumpkins Cooper and Blakely finger painted. Good Lordy! Is this a joke. Evil mean hateful people are surround us in this world and you truly do have to watch your back. Julian still doesn't recall seeing anyone following him home. We do live so close to the ATM so it would be hard to know if someone was but still, he is bothered by the fact that he wasn't as aware of his surroundings as he should have been. I thank God that he's alright and that nothing else happened.

Cooper worked hard on his pumpkin. Mean kids!

It was definitely a Halloween we will never forget.

So tonight when you lock your front door and hold your babies close, remember that we are the ones. The parents are the ones who have a huge responsibility to teach our children compassion for others. We teach them love and respect for human life and for the things each person works hard for. We teach them kindness to strangers, love and belief in God. We teach them to be the wonderful person they "Should" grow up to be. To know better than to have hate in their heart and scare or hurt or steel from others.

These two little loves mean way to much to me to be having angry unhappy people threaten or scare us like that at our own home. Not ok!

Its a scary world we live in and it can happen to you. Never feel like you are excluded. Just be aware and safe especially when you have your kids out in public. You just never know.

I think its going to take us a little while to get over this. We live in a nice town, with wonderful neighbors and people surrounding us. This was just a random act of ugliness that happened to us. The officers said it was not common for our area at all. But it just showed us to be more cautious.

I do hope all of you had a wonderful Halloween. I' m loving seeing all the adorable costumes you guys put your little ones in :)
