Backyard reveal! FINALLY.

I'm sure most of you can recall me mentioning us re-doing our backyard. We started to actively re-do it last spring. This weekend we finally finished it :).

WARNING: Objects do appear extremely small.
Our backyard is not very big at all, actually its insanely too small . Something my husband and I regret not caring more about when we purchased this house at the ripe age of 21 years old. We didn't quite look at it as a house we might possibly live in for more than 2-3 years. Now its been seven years yesterday since we signed the papers and bought this house.
I love the house, its a little small and has needed some major updating and fixing throughout the years but its beautiful and we love it now.
If only the yard were bigger. But at least now its nice and clean and enjoyable, small or not. Check out the progression of us fixing it.

My dad and Julian started pulling out the old railroad ties first of all.

Sorry but this is the only picture of the hideous rotting railroad ties that I could find.
Nasty yard...
Old rusted table and chairs.
Over grown flower beds.

I feel embarrassed to even share that it has looked this way for so long. We just never went out there. Our house was nice and pretty inside but the back was so TRASHY!

Here are the pictures of the yard while under construction.
You can see if starting to come together.

Cooper even helped... (look how tiny he was, it was about 4-5 months ago).
We didn't have a concrete slab poured yet.
Check out the yard. Yikes. But the flower beds really do look very nice.
Thanks Mom :)

We made a flower bed that runs down the entire back fence. This was to keep our dogs from digging. They dig badly.

The wall and stairs were finally done.

We finally got the concrete poured.

ALL DONE......
I still need to buy an outdoor rug for under the table, some potted and hanging plants and flowers. I still need to add some flowers to our flower beds. But for now this is great compared to before. Here it is :)

We painted the table and chairs black. I love them now :) Its amazing what re-painting metal chairs can do for them.

Cooper loved getting in and out of the doghouse.

This is Chris, He and my dad both helped Julian to get this project finished. It involved lots of lifting and ladders and hammers and saws.

The man who made it happen...
I'm so proud of Julian. He really did such a good job with such a small space. Our son now has a nice place to play(not the most safe due to the wall but that's not a choice. Its simply because of drainage).
We are getting Cooper some outdoor toys for his birthday because he absolutely LOVES to go outside and play. Its so nice to eat outside on our porch now.
Great job honey, Thanks for all the hard work.
Coopy and I love you.

I'm obsessed with Jammies!

I think that one of the most adorable things EVER is a cute little toddler in some absolutely adorable little pajamas. Not all Jammie's are cute, so don't misunderstand me. It has to be certain types. For instance these absolutely precious little stripy legged Halloween pajamas's we just bought Cooper this week.

I just had to share, I mean sometimes when I put him in a new set of adorable pajamas's my heart just melts.

Tonight we went over to my bf's house for a barbecue and some college football watching. We are very big football fans so we all got together for the first games of the season. We had a blast, but towards the end of the evening Cooper started to get restless and tired so we left. But not before all of us mama's took a picture together.
Oh and for those of you who remember, My best friend (Shannon, the one holding the dog) that has been having problems getting pregnant. She is premenopausal and also has endometriosis. On top of that her husband has a few issues as well. They did IVF a few months back, I believe it was in May. It was un-successful. However they quickly turned around and did another round in fears that she won't be producing eggs much longer and .... She is pregnant!!!! She found out a couple weeks ago and things are going great. She is 7 weeks along, strong heartbeat of 129 bpm's and everything looks great. Please keep her and her sweet little baby in your prayers.
We are so excited for them to add to their family. :)

I will finally be posting pics of our back yard renovation on Monday. We are tying up some last minute things and it will finally be done! Its taken nearly 6 months to complete transform it and I can't wait to share what we did.

I hope your all having a fabulous weekend.

A little early to be dressing him up don't you think??? And Birthday pictures.

That's right. I'm that mom. The mom who went and bought my son a cute little Halloween costume at Old Navy today and actually came home and put him in it and took tons of pictures :). I couldn't help myself he was such a cutie, I grabbed my camera and now I'm posting them. 2 whole months before Halloween! So I guess it won't be any big surprise what Cooper is going to be this year. A Dragon :) It goes very well with his fiery personality lately. He's been awfully feisty lately.

Is that costume not the cutest ever. I mean SERIOUSLY!

Here is a family picture we had my cousin take for Cooper's one year shots. This is just one, I should be getting a CD of the rest soon. :)

I am also posting some of the pictures from Julian's big Julianfest party we had a couple weekends ago. Only a few pics though, It could go on for days if I post them all.

And here's Julian at the end of the night. He was all partied out.

To finish this post off, I am posting some Cooper pics of him just playing around this past week. He has been so funny, he dances and I believe he's trying to sing because he starts making noises in the car and they just go and go and I think he's trying to sing along with us. He bends his knees and does the bounce dance all the time, anytime a toy starts to sing or music comes on anywhere. He is cracking us up with his moves.

Oh and check out this lovely mess

The first picture is a chair that is an antique that my great grandmother passed onto my grandmother who passed it onto my mother who passed it to me.
The second picture is the white area rug in my bedroom.
Cooper was in my room with me while I was getting ready Saturday and I saw him walk towards my makeup area. I went to stop him and caught him just in time to see him pick up my bronzer (which had no lid on it because I'm an idiot and didn't put the lid on). He literally drops tons of the bronzer on the floor steps right in it and walks over to the chair with it in his hand. Meanwhile I'm running toward him to stop him. He dumps more all over the chair. AWESOME! I grab it from him, look over and notice the perfect little footprint of bronzer on my carpet. Luckily I was able to get most of it out. But I was so worried that the chair was ruined. Maybe I should get a cover for it until all my kids are born and raised.????

Julianfest 2010, part 1....

I won an award this past week. The very sweet Annette over at http://mommyspirit.blogspot.com gave me this lovely award. Thank you so much Annette.
Being called a foxy mom is definitely a compliment. I would like to think that even though I had a baby I can still be foxy. That doesn't mean I always feel like I am but I try. :)

As for handing this award out.... I just have so many bloggy mom's that would win this one. So I give it to all of you fabulous hot mama's out there that I'm linked to. Each and every one of you ladies are beautiful and foxy.

Do you want to know what award I won't be winning this summer "THE BEST BLOGGER EVER AWARD". Yah, I bet you didn't know about this one???? Well if it was an award I would be failing miserably. I've never been this bad before. I truly believe its because its the summer. I think that once the nice weather starts to float away and the cold creeps in I will finally be free and able to blog daily and read and actually comment on my bloggy friends blogs. Bare with me here ladies. I promise this isn't for forever. "I'll be back" just like the terminator says. Things are just way to crazy right now. I read all of your blogs and I'm usually at work not watching my son and keeping him from getting into things. However lately work has been different. I'm not wanting my boss to think I'm not working and it seems like every time they pass my desk is when I'm caught up and checking blogs. So I decided to lay low for a while and not be on the blogs much during the day. BUMMER FOR ME.
Now all I have is night time. Which leaves about no time at all.

I have a birthday post to do for my husband. He turned 28 last Monday and we had a huge birthday party for him on Saturday. His birthday party is called Julianfest. Yes you read that right. He named it. Its a pretty big deal, people know him, he has many leather bound books and his apartment smells of rich mahogany :) (sorry I kind of went off on an anchorman kick there).
He basically invites ridiculous amounts of people and I get all sorts of stressed trying to figure out how they will all fit in my house and how to make sure the cops don't show up on my doorstep due to the massive amounts of cars on our street. Luckily the past two years have been great and gone off without a hitch. Julian had a great birthday and enjoyed every minute of it.

Pictures to come.
