Picture this, on and further down read about how we got to see Britney's Spears hotel room.

A friend of ours gave my husband and I some free tickets to join them at a charity event last night. We got to go to our local downtown area and visit all the high rise buildings. We got to go in hotels and see all the penthouses, we got all sorts of free food and drinks. We had WAY to much fun. My two besties and one of their hubbies went with us. My other best friends hubs was out of town this week on business but she still went with us. We walked all over downtown and I'm not gonna lie, we were pretty goofy and we laughed so much.
I'll tell you more about that later though. Lets rewind to when I got off work today before we go into our night.

Picture this....
I get home from work. No baby :( (He's at his Nana's until we get home later tonight and I miss him terribly). I walk into the empty quiet house. My hubs isn't home from work yet. I suddenly get a sad feeling in my gut. I miss my little guy. I can handle being away from him, especially on the weekends. I agree its nice to have a night without the kiddo's every now and again but Its the work week and I don't see him as much. So I'm missing him like crazy.
I run out to my car and grab my i-pod (which is fully stocked with every song you've ever heard and loved).
I hook it up to my player in the room and hit random play. I'm listening to Katy Perry, the black eyed peas, Madonna, and then what is it that comes on my i-pod. "Thuggish ruggish bone" Yes that's right. The thuggish ruggish bone by bone thugs n harmony. I'm going all the way back to like 8th grade here. Maybe even earlier. Its pretty ghetto and here I am putting on lotion. Yes I do have this on my i-pod. It makes me smile to hear old songs my brothers and friends and I once new. So anyways I remember thinking to myself "Maybe I should go turn it off, I bet Julian will walk in the door while its on if I don't". Well since my hands were all covered with lotion I didn't rush over to change the song. Sure enough, In walks my husband from work. To find me rubbing in lotion on my legs half dressed with Thuggish ruggish bone blaring through my house :) Hahaha. Talk about random. His facial expression was priceless. Awesome!
It was just a funny and very random thing for him to walk into. If you aren't familiar with this song, I suggest you go YouTube it right now so you can get the full effect of what my husband walked into when he came home.

Now onto our night out. This is the first time since my husbands Christmas party we've been out without our little man. We had an absolute BLAST! I missed Cooper more than I thought was possible though but still it was fun.
Here are some of our fun moments throughout the night.
Us girls become so goofy and fun when we get together without our kids. We aren't in mom mode wondering if our kids were tired, fed, wet, where they are? We knew the babies were safe with our families. So we got goofy and fun.

We went to a few of the nicest hotels in town. Re-done after years and years of being open. They were beautiful. We got to meet a local weather girl. Quite the local celebrity might I add. That was so cool.
We ate some really great yum food.
We went to a local Mexican food restaurant. My friends hubs goes in for lunch often. The owners know him and although they had just closed, they insisted we stay for drinks and food. They re-opened the bar and made us queso. I felt so bad but they insisted. We seriously felt like celebs. It was so neat.

Then the best part of the night was seeing the room that Britney Spears stayed in when she was in town recently. Ha ha. Yes I know this sounds ridiculous but we were seriously excited. We went into her suit and saw the room she stayed in. It was so fun!

Here are some of the pics from tonight. I labeled some...

Business man statue and I

Fire truck, not really sure why this was out there but we got on it for fun. Hey if there is a fire truck hanging out just sitting around then why the heck not???

Random Allie in downtown.

Us girls in the historical Mayo hotel.

L and B...

The Mr. and I

Just being silly :)

Britney Spears stayed in this very room recently. My friend Shannon is one of her biggest fans. I love her myself but Shannon acted like she was meeting Britney herself. It was hilarious. Here is the room she stayed in. :)

Us on Britney's hotel couch. I would say that now that we got to go there we are pretty much her bf's now. Awe Britney you shouldn't have.

We had a great time. Thanks L and B for getting us the tickets. It was way to much fun.

Here are a few pics my friend Lisa took with her I-phone.

This is Shannon in the shower, Its the shower in Britney's hotel room. She was being fake Britney. She said "Its Britney Bitch"...

More firetruck shots. Ha ha. We had just jumped down off the firetruck when a girl walked out of the building we were next to. She looks at me and rolls her eyes at these two strangers who are on the firetruck getting their pics taken now that we are done. She says "Ugh, are those girls seriously up on the firetruck". She seemed so annoyed and I looked at her and said "Ugh I know". and started laughing out loud. I mean we were just those annoying girls up there taking the pictures. It was fun, I don't care what the boring people thought.

I hope all of you have a fabulous fathers day!

Cooper is 9 months old today!

Happy 9 months baby boy! I can't even believe that you have been here with us for 9 whole months. Some days it feels like I never had life without you and other days it seems like everything has happened so fast. Either way your hear and doing great and daddy and I couldn't love you more. You have been nothing but an absolute blessing to our lives. Your smile lights up our every moment. God has blessed us so greatly by bringing you into our lives.

Here is what is going on with Cooper these days....

-You are walking along furniture so smoothly and so well. Your crawling is so fast its insane.
-you are smiley and giggly all the time, always smiling at strangers and anyone who will look your way. You are a huge flirt.
-You are saying Dada, and mama and I truly believe you know who we are because you say them only to us.
-You love to give Eskimo kisses, your papa taught you this new little trick.
-You love the song "the wheels on the bus".
-You are into everything, literally. You go from room to room seeing what you can get into. I have to follow and re-direct you often :)
-You are so smart (daddy and I believe you are). You seem to pick up on new things so quickly and you are very intuitive and curious.
-You love to sing songs with mommy and you even sing along in the car with me :)
-You love to push the handmade crocheted coasters that Dorthy made for your mommy and daddy. Luckily they are soft and safe so we let you play with them. You will push them around on the wood floor like they are matchbox cars or something. Its so cute.
-You LOVE your ducky stuffed animal that sings the A,B,C's. Its the only thing that will get you to sit still while I change your diaper. You just can't wait to get up and go play but once you hear that song you smile at me and we sing together.

Your stats...
-You weigh about 17-1/2 to 18lbs. (We haven't been to the doc to have you weighed in over a month so this is a guess)
-You are wearing size 2 shoes but your getting close to growing out of them.
-You wear size 6-9 months in pants, except a few pairs of select shorts (like swimsuits) that run big and you end up in a 3-6 month.
-You are wearing 9-12 month pj's, onesy's and shirts. You are so tall you need big boy shirts.
-You still haven't gotten any teeth yet. But I am guessing in the next week to two weeks we will be announcing your first tooth. You have become quite the little slobber king the past 2 days and you haven't been as chipper as we normally would expect.

I could go on for days on so many little amazing cutie pie things about you. You are so much fun and you're learning so fast. Daddy and I love you more than anything in this world. God is amazing to us.

Happy 9 months angel baby!
Here are some pictures of you we took this week. :)

We think your teething, your a little slobber monkey and chewing on everything. But what do we know? We have thought you were teething for like 3 months now? Who knows.

WE LOVE YOU COOPY MONSTER!!!!

The bachelorette last night

A fellow blogger mentioned something about last nights episode of "The Bachelorette". I suddenly felt compelled to type up a little something about my feelings on the show last night.

I will skip the previous episodes and just move straight into last night...
I want to start off by saying that I did the naughty and read "reality Steve"s" blog yesterday. For those of you who haven't, and don't want to. Good for you. I couldn't help myself but to want to read all about the spoilers. You might think this would ruin my watching the rest of the season but amazingly it didn't at all yet. I watched last nights episode in amazement that reality Steve was so right about everything. It was fun to see it all drawn out in the show after already knowing what would happen.

Ok onto the show.... (No spoilers included).
Holy cow Kasey "tattoo freak" McGee over here. What are you thinking??? I mean really? Really?
You went and got a tattoo that you say represents your "protection" over Ali's heart. Again REALLY? Do you really find it necessary to go get a permanent tattoo for a girl that is dating multiple people and to top it off did not even give you a rose because she needed to think about her decision some more. She mentioned so many times throughout the show that Tattoo man is over the top on the things he does. She tells him to be more down to earth. What does he do??? Yes that's right. The most logical thing for him to do after being told that is to go get a tattoo for her. Hahaha! Wow! FREAK!
Run Ali Run away as fast as you can...

"The Wrestler" A.K.A creepy, hiding something, crutches man who sits in the back ground all pretty boy and squinty eyed watching everyone else make such fools of themselves with some slap happy grin on his face. Then he suddenly decides to start crap with people out of the blue. I don't like this guy! He might be semi attractive compared to the choices we are working with here but he is not trust worthy and although last night he chose to pick on crazy Kasey. I still don't like the guy.

"Weatherman" :) We have such a love hate relationship Weatherman. Your girly crying nature like your a 8 year old boy annoys me to no end. For whatever reason though, you make me laugh. You are such a shorty Tom Cruise like, goofy little guy. As badly as I feel you should be nixed and as badly as you can be oh so annoying. I think I secretly like you for viewing purposes. I mean your hysterical! You have gossiped like a girl from day 1. Last night when you tried to go talk to Ali the night she was sick and got shot down hard chore! You immediately went back to the guys to talk about it and let your feelings out.
Oh and when you sang to Ali. I about lost it! Did any of you ladies see her facial expression, PRICELESS! Thank you Weatherman for entertaining me so.

Frank, I like you! You are adorable and down to earth. You don't try to hard. Your funny and cute.

Oh and Ali herself seems so fake. She is a terrible actress. I loved her last season (minus the "I have to leave the show" moment of fake crying). But this season she seems so unrealistic. I feel like its even more of a planned fake show than I ever have before.

And the last person I will mention is Roberto. Because I think he's a hottie! But I'm not sure if I love his personality?

As far as the rest of the guys, I have nothing to really say about them today. Maybe next week :)

The amazing adventures of Cooper. Picture post!

Well the title says it all.

Cooper is everywhere, I took the liberty of following Cooper around the house with my camera so I could share how curious Cooper has gotten these past few months. Gone are the days when he would lay quietly on his blankie looking at the flashing lights of his infant toys hanging above him.
I'm not complaining, I think he's so much fun now. However, he is scaring us big time with all his little daring adventures. I wouldn't dare leave him alone for even a split second.

Cooper just started his new 2 days at Mrs. J's house this past week. She told me he did great :)
Cooper flirted with the college girls that work for her and played great with the other kids. I was so happy to hear that. The rest of the week he was with his Mimi. He did great all week but all of his caretakers made it a point to say to me "oh my goodness, he's just so mobile and into everything". The New Mrs. J's daughter told me that they thought that Cooper was one of the most well behaved babies they had ever had at the in home daycare. Then she goes on to tell me that he is also one of the most active 9 month old babies she's ever had. Can those two even go together?

Yes everyone, we are fully aware of him being so mobile. We new this day would come and boy did it. I can remember mentioning to you all just a couple months ago how mobile he has been getting. I had no idea what was in store for us. He is ten times more active and all over the place now then he was then.

So here is a small highlight of what Cooper did today (ha ha for like 20 minutes). You can imagine a full day. Its not like I didn't realize he would be this way one day, and its also not like I don't think other babies are this way. Its just never been my kid that was all over the place. Now that it is, I'm just going to come out and say it. Its exhausting!

He made his way through nearly half of our house, and quickly I might add.
We have had to do some new baby proofing. We had decided to watch him closely and add on some of these baby proof things as we go. He's never really been all that interested in going anywhere near the fireplace and we never leave him alone or un-watched to even take a chance at him getting hurt by it. However this week he decided he wanted to climb on it. NOT COOL COOP.

Here is the lovely new baby proofed fireplace. Check out the stylish foam lining around the edges. Anything to keep our baby boy safe :)

"Hey mom, I think I should show you how I can climb up and hang off of this table :)"
"Ha-ha, I 'm hanging "

Look another table.
" I bet I could get that thing open"???

"Too bad Mom took all the good stuff out of the drawer that I could play with"

"They don't like it when I go over here"

"What is this thing"?

" My toys"

"oops! Now how am I going to get it"?
"I'm just going to take this little thing over hear"

"and put it in this thing"
"My mom made me get away from the fireplace"

"Fine, then I'll just play with my school bus".

"Hey, I want to go play with those...."
"I'm ready to move into the next room"
"Mom, are you coming"??

"OOh, my diaper bag :)"

"Is that my paci"??
"IT IS, IT IS"

NEXT....

"I think I'll go this way now..."

"Hey look the computer room, and my play table :)"

It went on from here. I just got tired of chasing him around the house.

He is one busy little curious boy that's for sure.
