Girls night out!!!

Last night two friends and I had a girls night out. But not just any girls night out. BLACK EYED PEAS CONCERT girls night out! The show was AWESOME! We had so much fun. We went to dinner at one of our fav. Mexican food resturaunts and then went to the concert. We knew tons of people who were going, that was fun. The opening act was LMFAO. They were absolutely hilarious and really fun to watch. Then Ludacris came out. I really like Ludacris but felt like his concert part fell short. It was so basey and noisy I didn't enjoy his as much. Don't get me wrong, he was really good too, just not as good as I expected. Then came the peas!! Oh how gorgeous Fergie is, and what a show. They were so much fun to watch and to hear. They sang so many good songs, the crowd was totally involved. It was a blast.
We got home at 12:30 (late night for mama) to find out husbands watching movies and Cooper curled up on daddy's chest. I missed my boys but had a great time with my friends. Here are some pics of our super fun concert!

Oh and appologies for not checking any of your blogs since last Thursday. Cooper came down with a bad ear infection (from that horrible cold he just got over). He was miserable and I was tied down making him comfortable and happy for the past two days. Blog just didn't happen. Now I have a ton of catching up to do this coming week ahead. I hope your all doing good.

Also I have to tell you all. That we got Another freaking snow storm. Are you kidding me with this. It was 70 degrees and sunny and gorgeous Friday when the baby was really sick. Then Saturday the tempurature dropped, the snow fell and now we are covered with snow and ice. Its redicoulous. GO AWAY SNOW. Hopefully this will be our last snow storm and spring weather will come fast. At the end of my concert pics, I posted a pic of our lovely snowy yard. Its pretty but so un-neaded.

Also Cooper ate his first baby food this week. Since he has the reflux our doctor strongly advised us trying baby food before 6 months, so we waited. He LOVED the sweet potatoes. It was so funny, he would grab my hand and try to shove the spoon into his own mouth. So funny.
Also I'm posting a few st. Patty's day pics.

We were off to the side of the stage so I didn't get many straight on shots. And some are blurry. But here they are...

St Patti's day!

Big changes are going on around our house and life. We had Cooper in a daycare, and as some of you may know that it wasn't going so well. I'm not sure I ever really shared some of the things that went on there but lets just say I wasn't as happy with my decision as I thought I would be.
A week ago, my husbands grandmother (who used to watch Cooper) and his Aunt Mimi (also watched Cooper) called and told us that my husbands grandpa (who had been in the hospital with some sudden issues that were very serious) was actually healing so quickly. They expected it to take through the summer for him to really be healed. But he's been doing a great job of healing quicker than they thought. So Nana and Mimi wanted us to let them keep Cooper again.
This couldn't have come at a better time. I'm so happy that they will have him again.
I have also been in touch with a women from my church who has some children at her house all day and was talking with me about letting Cooper come to her house a few times a week for some play time with other kids. I really like that idea.
So things are getting better in that aspect.

Yesterday was Coopers 6 month appointment. He is getting so big, Well to us he is.
He weighs 14lbs 5ozs, he is in the 5th percentile for his weight. His head is in the 20th percentile and his height is 28 inches long. He is in the 68th percentile for height. He is one tall and skinny little man. His pediatrician told us not to worry about his weight at all. That he is perfectly healthy and if anyone tries to say anything about his weight to tell them to "shut up". HA-HA. I love our pedi. He's the best. He said Cooper is 100% perfect. He's doing everything he should be doing at this point and he's a little ahead (doc's words not mine).
I'm so proud of our little man. He's getting so big, so animated, so personable.

We went out to Texas Roadhouse last night for dinner to celebrate his half birthday and Cooper smiled and flirted with every person he saw, bringing all sorts of attention to himself.

Today we are going out to dinner with our closest friends and although I don't drink beer I'm sure everyone else will be having themselves some green beer. I'm excited to see everyone.

I hope you all had a wonderful day!

6 MONTHS OLD TODAY

My baby is six months old today! It seems unreal to me that the time has flown by so fast in our lives. On this day, Six months ago the most amazing person entered my life and changed me forever. He is by far the most wonderful, perfect, joy filled human being I've ever been blessed to have in my life. I have never loved another the way I love him.

6 MONTHS:
You can sit, and your getting more and more steady by the day and doing such a good job.
Your gaining weight rapidly and weigh 15 lbs now. You were born at 6lb even so I think thats pretty good.
You eat 5-6 ounces of formula with 1 tablespoon of cereal per ounce every 4 hours.
You talk gibberish constantly (I think I heard you say mama this week =) Ok it wasn't really mama, it was MAMAMAMAMAMAMAMA. But I like to believe it was mama. Haha.
You love to stand up and you grab people hands and try so hard to pull up.
You lay on your tummy and roll over and over to get where you want since you haven't quite learned to crawl yet.
You flirt with everyone always. As soon as someone walks near you, you flash them a huge smile that just makes people melt.
You are strong, you love to dance. You bounce when music comes on and get this crazy look in your eye.
You love anything with buttons on it. Especially the controller or mama or daddy's phones.
You are such a good baby, You can go to dinner, or anywhere and you just hang out and are such a joy to have around.
You are our one and only Coopy Monster and we will love you always and forever.

I'm so proud of you baby boy. I LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU!

From the day you were born to now. Look at how you grow. Look at how amazing you are. How perfect we go together to make a family.
