Ok ladies. I'm needing mommy advice.
Blakely was sleeping through the night great from about 9:00 until about 6:00 every night. But then she learned to roll over and the swaddle came off. Ever since we removed the swaddle she wakes up at 3:00 or around there and never goes back to sleep. We are exhausted and thought we were past the sleepless nights. Cooper had a positioner, this was before they were all recalled. So when we stopped swaddling him he was fine because he still felt something comforting around him. But with Blake our pediatrician told us not to put anything on her that constricts her legs including a sleep sack. So what do we do? Any ideas? We put her in long sleeve footsy sleepers so she's warm. No blankets or bumpers or anything in her crib. She takes a paci but nothing has changed as far as that goes. I'm lost for what to do. We thought it would be like this for a few weeks maybe at the most and we are going on a month. EXHAUSTED!!!! Help!

I am not sure what is right anymore, but we used the sleep sacks. It seemed to work fine for my daughter. My son hate sleep sacks and my daughter hated being swaddled. Figures! :oP I hope that it passes soon! Good luck!
My advice would be to use a Woombie or a sleep sack. The woombies are better because they secure the arms but since your dr recommended not using one... I guess you can try a swaddle blanket that's tight enough she can't get it loose to get over her face? Hopefully soon she'll go back to all night sleeping.
Why did your doctor say no to sleep sacks? I haven't heard that before. We haven't gotten to that point yet. Wish I could help.
She was "trained" to go to sleep and actually fell asleep for x number of months with a swaddler and now all the sudden it's gone. I think it would be like removing my fan from my bedroom and telling me that I now have to sleep without a fan...when my whole life I've slept with a fan. Know what I mean? Tough! I would guess that since she is waking up every morning (early!!!) at the same time that her clock needs to be re-set. Are you a fan of CIO? If so, i'd give it a try. If not, well, forget I mentioned it.
And I know I'm no doctor, but she can roll over-right? So what harm does a blanket do or a big stuffed animal that she can cozy up to at night?
So, not sure any of that helped but just giving my 2 cents :) Hope it gets better for you, we've all been there!
Have you tried the SwaddleMe? It doesn't really come undone.
Good luck!!
wish i could help....my kiddos are younger than yours, so you come across all the problems before me!
do know that i am usually up every 2-3 hours though out the night breastfeeding danika...does that help to know that you are not alone sleep walking in the middle of the night?!?!?!
I swaddled for a while even after they could roll...Matt especially needed it. It wasn't a big deal though b/c he could get his arms out to help himself roll and still be cozy/confined enough to sleep well swaddled over the rest of his body...does that make sense?
We actually put a rolled up blanket on both sides of Colton for the roll over reason. They stop him just perfectly if he doesn't try to hard to get over that is..........which is a good thing too since they move out of the way too.
Hope you've gotten some sleep since you posted this 3 weeks ago......I am soooooo behind!!
