My very first mothers day.

Warning pictures.... (My camera was doing something weird though, so the lighting is weird :(

My mothers day was all I ever dreamed it would be. Mainly because I have a baby boy to call me mom that I can celebrate with. I dreamed of this day, I cried wondering if it would happen for me, and how long it would take. Here I am holding my angel baby in my arms now celebrating and its like a dream.

It all started on Thursday when I got a beautiful bouquet of tulips from my sweet baby boy (and daddy of course). They said "happy mothers day, love Coopy". I love them. I just smile each time I look at them. Then came Saturday. My parents came and helped Julian and I in the back yard. We are doing some MAJOR changes to our backyard and they helped all day work painstakingly in our yard. It was lots of heavy lifting and manual labor and they helped us so much. We couldn't be more thankful for their help.
Sunday:
I woke up and spent at 6:30 in the morning and spent time with my boys.

I couldn't sleep in for whatever reason and Julian got up with Cooper for me. I then went to jump in the shower. When I came out of our room I could smell food. I went to see what was going on and my husband had made a huge breakfast for us. It was SOOO good. We took some Mommy and Cooper pics. :)

We went to church with my family and then headed to my grandma's to celebrate with everyone. We spent most of the day at my grandma's enjoying family. I took way to many pictures on Sunday and some of them are of mom, Jamie (my sis in law), My neice Natalie, Coop and I. I love having special pictures like that.

My mama and I

We then went over to Julian's grandparents house (they raised him). We gave his Nana some gifts and spent some time there. At this point I was exhausted. Cooper had been napping allot all day but was still tired (I think he's having a growth spurt).

We went home to spend the rest of the evening at home just us. I gave Cooper a bath and was getting him all lotion-ed and ready for bed when Julian said "Do you want your gifts now". I said yes. First I got gifts from Just Cooper. It was so cute. I got some lotion, some nail polish, and a big puffy thing that removes makeup. Ha ha. Apparently Julian had taken Cooper to Ulta and let him just randomly grab things and whatever he grabbed is what he was giving me for mothers day. I painted my nails last night with the polish and it looks Gorg:)
Then came my gift from Daddy. He made me a blog book!!!! Its amazing. It has my entire pregnancy up to the first six weeks of Cooper's life in it. I am truly happy and I totally cried when I got it. I've been wanting one really bad for a long time. They are expensive. He found someone in our home town who made them but they couldn't do the top kind in time for mothers day. My husband was afraid I would be upset because its not as nice as he wanted it to be. He's crazy!!! I absolutely love it. It has every post and picture from the day I became pregnant to 6 weeks of age. I LOVE IT! I will have it forever to cherish and remember how things felt and what went on each week. It is truly such a great gift. In the back of the book was a free standing printout page of coupons that Julian had made. It has about 15 coupons on it. Things like "Julian will watch any girly movie with you without complaining", and "Julian will put away all the laundry", "Julian will wake up with Cooper early on one of your mornings", "Your choice of any restaurant on a night I don't want to cook", and "$100.00 shopping spree any time you want". I get to use them when I want. I am so in love with this man. He amazes me daily. Not just because he is so thoughtful but because he is such a great person, husband, father. He is wonderful. They made my day special and memorable.

I am so blessed and proud to be a mother and I love God and thank him daily for these gifts in my life. God you amaze me. :)

last year at this time, and my mom

Last year at this time, I didn't really celebrate mothers day yet. I was pregnant almost 5 months along at that point and although I knew the pregnancy was going well, I just felt like the first mothers day I wanted to celebrate was going to be the mothers day where I had my baby boy in my arms. Here I am waiting patiently to celebrate for the next year. Dreaming and imagining what life will be like one year from then. Its amazing what can change in a year. How much your life can get better and how much you can love another person. I am so excited and feel truly blessed to be a mommy! :)

Now I'm going to switch gears. Because I should start by saying that the reason I wanted to be a mom. The reason I dreamed of rocking my baby to sleep at night and kissing those puffy cheeks, of taking vacations and having my kids be so excited. All the reasons I dreamed of being a mom are because of my own mom. God blessed my life, he brought me to my parents who are absolutely amazing. He blessed me with a mom that is kind, thoughtful, caring, beautiful, heartfelt, silly, fun, bright and happy, loving. I could go on for days, truly I could. My mom has been my rock, she has been the person I can turn to for ANYTHING! She has been my best friend, and she has most importantly been my mom. The person who taught me how to act like a lady (although she's allot more proper than I am most of the time):)
She taught me to love, she taught me to watch over my own baby boy. She showed me the kind of mom that I dreamed of being my whole life. I love my mom more than words can even express and I want to thank her for the beautiful life she has helped me to live. Thank you mom! Thank you for making our house a home, for loving us always through thick and thin. I LOVE YOU!

God thank you so much for blessing my life with a mother who loves me and teaches me and takes care of me the way that my mom does. I pray to you daily to help me to be the mother that she has been to me and will be to me, to Cooper. Thank you over and over for her God. You amaze me.

I don't have pictures of mom and I when I was little on my computer at my house. So I'll just put a few from the past few years :)

Our weekend

We have been so busy the past few weeks. I realized that summer is always crazy for us. We are big on projects and like to constantly be doing things. We have 3 really big house projects going right now. We are a very active family. Work is picking up also leaving me way less time to blog :( However I've been checking in and reading about all of you. Friday night some friends of ours came over and we ate dinner. Someone (not sure who) jokingly said, lets do karaoke... We don't have a Wii so that wasn't happening however my husband reminds us all that he had this super old 90's karaoke machine that his friend left at our house years and years ago when we had a b-day party for my hubby. We call his b-day Julian fest every year, but that's a whole other story altogether. For another post.
So we busted out the old karaoke machine, 90's Cd's and all. It was hilarious. So funny! Here are some pics of all of us. Of course Cooper too, enjoying our great voices :)

We had allot of fun goofing around :)

Then on Saturday we spent the day together shopping and running errands. Saturday night we went over to a friends to watch some fight that was on. We had a good time. Cooper played with all the kids that were there. They were so cute, they (kids from ages 2-8 years old, 4 of them) kept calling Cooper "Coopa". So sweet. They really liked him.

Sunday we got up and fed Cooper, I had to take some pictures because I realized how big he's looking in his highchair these days. Its crazy! Just look at his little sleepy morning eyes. So cute!

We went to church and then came home. Cooper is pulling up on any and everything he can get his hands on. He's moving fast now when he crawls and I just don't get how fast he went from sitting and rocking in a crawling motion to 2 weeks later he's crawling fast and pulling up and standing without our help one bit. He falls of course which is sad for him and scares us. So we are now next to him constantly in fears he will fall. Here are some pics of Cooper in his room Sunday after church.

He crawled, climbed and played until he was tired. We put him down for his nap and he went to sleep. We hear a noise on the monitor and it sounded weird so I peaked my head in to check on him and this is what I found :) Haha. Well look at that. Someone learned how to climb his crib also.

This picture was taken when I was 1 week from being induced. We went to a friends house to watch the OU and OSU football games. I couldn't fit in any of my football t-shirts so I wore pink so I could pull for both teams. (They weren't playing each other or else I would have definitely been wearing crimson and cream:)
My friend Shrease and I were playing with one of my best friends little girl. Her name is Anniston and she is such a cutie girl. We had a great time that day just spending the day with friends and cooking out.

Now I will pass this on to 8 other bloggy friends.
